THE WAIT. IS OVER.

That's right fellow Tapologists, the long build up is finally over as I (with the help of theMMAmessiah) present to you The Greatest Tapologist Ever, a contest that will decide who is the biggest contributor in Tapology's history, decided by you of course.

Here's how it'll go, a bracket has been set up with all 32 seeds (established in the first week of March and modified last week) who will have a chance to claim the title. Moderators are ineligible for this tournament. The higher-tier members were matched up with the lower-tier members and the mid-tier members were matched up with each other, I tried to make these brackets as fair as possible in order to create a competitive Final Four match up.

There will be posts following this one that will include the match ups and a small biography of each member. Thumbs up the post to vote for the first member of the post, thumbs down the post to vote for the second member on the post. If there is a tie, the power rests at the hands of yours truly. Voting will end on Sunday, May 6 at 8PM. If you have any questions, ask on my comment board.

Good luck!

And remember guys, vote on who's contributed more for Tapology not who you like more. By the way, I posted a link to this thread on every seed's channel board so they know what's happening.

I'm already done voting in this.  It's just a popularity contest.

19-16 loss to Yorma, the fact even 1 person picked me as being better than the almighty Yorma .. makes me happy :)

Actually Lopati vs Messiah was one of the hardest ones for me....

Both good dudes... I'm sure Messiah got his share of hate votes but he's cooled down on the crazy **** and arguing lately which is good to see

I ended up going with Lopati because I talk to him on twitter quite a bit and he hasn't had such a patchy argument filled history like Messiah! ha

Pretty surprised I even managed 9 against Poir considering the amount of stuff he does on the site!

@hd appreciate it man. Not gonna discredit Lopati's credentials because he is a great tapologist but if this was really about MMA knowledge, forum activity, prediction ability and contributions to the site I feel I'm up there with anybody outside of wolf who I think has separated himself from everyone else.

Good luck to everybody the rest of the way.

@jaffa totally get that, I voted for anyone that I talk to outside of the forums as well.

Only thing that annoys me about this thing is that if you included someone like Haven then people would have voted for him despite him contributing nothing more than something that resembles a bowl of alphabetti spaghetti!

Actually Haven could well have been included.... My memory is pretty ******!

I'll make it public knowledge who I voted for I got nothing to hide

wolf vs pr0digy- I like pr0digy, but come on this is obvious

thiagosilva vs joe kerr- really like joe kerr and I don't like thiago. Also joe kerr is one of the best pickers on the site. Another no brainer

poir vs jaffacake- went with poir because his resume is just a lot more impressive and I feel is one of the most enthusiastic tapologists we have.

hdmex vs rorschach- went with hd due to rorschach not posting much anymore and because hdmex is just cool.

Swickotine vs dielegende- really like Swick always have, the cat's on my xbox friends list and imported his file through all 3 mass effects, that's boss, just like me.

yorma vs mike- easiest choice of the tournament

wake vs beastmaster- scratch that, this was

rwlawman vs analias- I really like analias but if this was a truly all encompassing "best tapologist" tournament I really can't see how you have either of these guys in a tournament for the top 32, analias while awesome and a good poster, isn't even a blackbelt and we have over a 100 of those. Went with analias because I like him.

Anik vs. L2W- Went with Anik because I like him and I probably talk with him more than almost anyone on the site

Brewyn vs Lust- Don't hate Lust anymore but still this should be Brewyn's matchup all day, can't believe it's tied.

gloom vs t0rch- another rare strong 1st round matchup, had to go with gloom, he's a boss.

Soccer vs Jaykool- obvious

So is Kallous vs michigan and mulefloyd vs buffalo

Fresno vs itfigures- Fresno is a favorite member of mine, so his choice was always obvious. Also I always liked itfigures and considered him a quality poster that I thought I got along with until he said basically he couldn't stand me, cut deep down to my soul.

You got the 67 day black belt, I got the 69.  I'm happy with 69, its a good number :)  i haven't contributed to any side games to be on something like this.  I just say I'm Gregory from Tapology any time I go on chatroulette naked, but I don't know that that makes me more or less of a contributor........
