I agree that at this point Cain would probably defeat Fedor and maybe even finish him but to say he would finish him in under 2 mins 9/10 times is crazy

Guys. Bigfoot Silva destroyed Fedor (didn't KO him but ****** his face up).

Cain would definitely kill Fedor.

You can't just say Hendo is some Middleweight. He might have some of the best punching power the sport has ever seen. I don't agree with Cain finishing Fedor in under 2 minutes 9/10 times. I'm not sure he'd even do that once.

I think you're paying way too much attention to the "under 2 minutes 9/10 times" guys, the jist of messiah's post was that Fedor would get completely dominated by Cain.

Cain/Fedor would look exactly like Cain/Nog. Almost every time, you can disagree with me but that doesn't make me crazy. Fedor has never even fought a HW on that level. The most talented HW regardless of era he's ever fought is probably Werdum, and not only did he get triangled in a minute. But Werdum still isn't anywhere near Overeem, JDS, or Cain. Fedor was the greatest in his time. But nobody remembers in that same time, Evan Tanner was the MW chmap of the world. It was a different era with a different level of talent.

Fedor never evolved, much like BJ he never left Russia and his small group of yes men. He never fought anyone of worth afer Cro Cop until his 3 fight losing streak where he was finished in all 3.

I could go on for days debunking Fedor, he was the greatest of his time, but he does not compare, even in his prime, to the talent level of JDS or Cain, he just doesn't. It's like that in every division, it's just that HW has been the slowest to evolve.

@Messiah, I can respect that and I do agree that a big part of Fedor's fall was he didnt evolve his game

@theMMAmessiah I've said it before, you can't blame Fedor for the competition he fought in Pride because it was the best competition available at the time. Of course he'd get destroyed by today's HWs, just like any other division.

Agreed with the evolution part, that's very true.

Will this be treated like a first contender fight?  Will the winner earn a title shot against the winner of Dos Santos vs. Mir?

If Cain wins then perhaps. If Bigfoot wins then I imagine not.

No disrespect to Silva but I think this is a lose - lose for Cain and a win - win for Silva.

If Cain wins, he just beat a guy who got demolished in his last fight by Cains very own teammate, who many would say isnt really on the level Cain is YET. If he loses ... he just lost to a guy who just lost to his less talented training partner (Im not saying Cormier is not talented, but most people think Cain is much superior)

If Bigfoot wins he just beat the guy who was champion a couple months ago, if he loses then he just lost to a guy who was champion a couple months ago, meaning if he loses, regardless of HOW he loses he will get a 2nd oppritunity in the UFC to prove himself.

Cain has 88% takedown defence and a high amount of strikes landed. Not going to be a good night for Bigfoot.
