This is a possible fight of the night in the making. Velasquez has supreme takedown and striking skills but Silva is great standing up and on the ground. I say Velasquez in a final round TKO.

Prediction: wrong Silva   wrong Decision

I have a weird feeling in my stomach that Bigfoot is going to win. Velasquez is a great fighter with good stand-up and great takedowns/TDD, but I don't think Velazquez will match Bigfoot on the feet. I think Bigfoot has many more methods of winning including better jiu-jitsu and better striking. When Cormier KO'd Bigfoot, he broke his hand and was out for 6+ months. (Although he looked fantastic in his fight with Barnett)

I think that Bigfoot is going to pull out a unanimous decision because of his chin and reach advantage. The X factor is really Bigfoot's TDD, but I think that in his 8+ month layoff he will have trained TDD extensively. Bigfoot also had shoulder surgery, and looks damn confident for this fight. I think his loss will fuel another winning streak whereas no one knows how Velazquez deals with loss. I'm definitely going back and forth between Velazquez and Bigfoot, but one thing is for sure: this is going to be one hell of a fight.

I think the X factor is standup.  Cain's boxing is great,  Bigfoot's isn't anything special.

Speed kills Bigfoot. That was part of the reason why I picked Cormier in their Strikeforce HW GP match up. Mike Kyle's fight with Bigfoot made me view Bigfoot in a much different way. If I feel he can bully a fighter around I pick him. If he can't while he still has a chance, the other fighter has a much bigger chance to win.

@arqMehdi "Bigfoot is going to pull out a unanimous decision because of his chin"

your argument is invalid. the only thing his chin would be responsible is for losing. Bigfoot's overrated.

Honestly, Bigfoot can win this fight. I think DC is better than Cain, and I think Bigfoot is going to be much better prepared for this one. If he gets on top he will finish him.

Velasquez is coming off of a nightmarishly quick KO loss to JDS. Before that happened, he was the one that was on his way to being the best Heavyweight ever. Silva's a tough SOB too, but Velasquez reminds everyone why we all feared him with a KO victory.
