Rizzo was good back in the days... but his last fight was 2 years ago, against Ken Shamrock... I'm not sure why he got a fight with Fedor..

This is typical Fedor match making though... I am Huge a fan of Fedor, but this will only fuel the haters that say he fought "cans" or washed up former champs.

Rizzo was the man back in the day.  I hope he can put in a vintage performance and beat Fedor.  It would be a great ending to a bittersweet career if he could pull it off.

At this point Rizzo from Grease would be more of an entertaining fight, than Pedro vs. Fedor

Fedor is at least he is being active and fighting instead of fighting nobody.

@ACF, and the haters will keep discrediting his whole career, so no one wins from this matchup

Fedor gets no credit, which I find ********. He is by far the greatest HW of all time and imo top 5 greatest ever ... Yet people STILL discredit him. Its not even about being a fan, but how can you not give the guy his credit.

Fedor will never fight for Zuffa again.

Zuffa has a near stranglehold on heavyweight talent.

Do you see the problem?

That being said, any Fedor fight that isn't vs. Guram Gugenishvili, Shamil Abdurahimov, Sergei Karitonov or any of the top 5 Bellator guys is a complete waste of a legend's last few years.

Fedor is a great fighter, and those who look down on him because he has what people call a "padded record," when in fact that when he fought those people they were in their prime and he beat them, he has beat people who have held belts in the ufc, yes some are losing in the ufc but like big nog who has fought for a title and got it he is still a top ten heavyweight today in my opinion, Fedor beat him twice, Fedor lost a few fights, but look at who they are and how the won and the entire fights, with werdum he dropped and he got caught it happens, look at nog. silva, well he was really out sized in that fight, but he wasn't losing the stand up, hendo same story, until he got caught with a lucky uppercut from the back. the things he has already done in the sport is enough he has held a belt at heavy until Pride dissolved. he is the greatest heavyweight to fight for now, but i don't see anyone who has done more than him.

Fedor WAS a great fighter.  He isn't in the top ten, and likely never will be again.

Fedor was a great fighter yes. He's one of the greatest of all-time, and that's not arguable. But like all athletes, he's hit his natural decline, what do you expect?

Rizzo is the man and I couldn't wait for him to come back after that beating he put on Shamrock. Unfortunately it's been two years, and he's fighting Fedor. He's going to get finished quickly and violently.

This is a solid matchup, not as bad as people are saying. Fedor is rebuilding, and Rizzo is an appropriate step up from Ishii and Monson. People also talk about this fight like it is some hand picked can for Fedor to crush and look good. Fedor can only look good in this fight if he finishes it quickly. If Rizzo survives to a decision, Fedor looks bad. If Rizzo catches Fedor and hurts him (let alone beats him), Fedor looks bad. This is not exactly a hard fight for Fedor but it isn't exactly a spoon feeding either.
