Rick Story vs. Thiago Alves is gonna be like Jon Fitch vs. Thiago Alves, except more entertaining. Thiago showed a lot of improvement when he fought John Howard, but I think Rick Story is gonna run through him pretty easily.

Woah, defenetly shaping up to be an outstanding card! I've been looking forward to seeing Mir and Nelson fight ever since I watched Nelson beat Mir at the 2003 grapplers quest. I think Alves has always faired well at ww. He's only struggled with the absolute top guys in the division, GSP and Fitch and has fared well against other great ww like Hughes and Kos. He looked great against Doomsday as well I think he's going to take this one, Story is a great competitor though and looked like a monster in his last fight, should make for an exciting fight!!

Sweet fight. I kind of agree with seanbio on this one. I don't think it'll be easy for Rick Story, but I do think he's going to pull off a unanimous decision in this fight. I think Rick Story has the tools to grind Alves down the way Fitch did. I found it pretty impressive the way he was able to outgrapple Johny Hendricks who is a Division I wrestler himself if I'm not mistaken. Joe Silva put together a very intriguing fight here.

Story is tough, but he hasn't faced anyone at the caliber to Alves. Thiago will get the better of each exchange and end them with devastating leg kicks. I think Thiago wins all facets of this fight with ease.

Story didn't ask for Thiago so he can go and box with him. The blueprint is already there for him, laid out by GSP and Fitch and he probably thinks he can replicate it for 3 rounds. At any rate, Story as high as +180 is tempting.

This could be a great fight... Its either Thiago wins by Vicious striking or Story wins by pushing Alves against the cage and ripping him to the body.. Decision either way I think.
