http://www.cagepotato.com/strikeforce-offered-chad-griggs-fights-with-valentijn-overeem-and-daniel-cormier-for-this-weekends-card/
CagePotato has learned that immediately following his impressive heavyweight grand prix reserve bout win over Gian Villante at Strikeforce’s Fedor vs. Silva event two-and-a-half weeks ago, Chad Griggs was offered a slot on this weekend’sStrikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson card. A source we spoke to revealed that “The Gravedigger” turned down both bouts he was offered with fellow tournament reservists Valentijn Overeem and former Olympic wrestler Daniel Cormier as there simply wasn’t adequate time for the full-time paramedic-firefighter to prepare for such a pivotal potential bout.

Not sure what everyone else thinks - I say good for the Gravedigger!  Fighters need to prepare for fights and stepping in at least vs Daniel Cormier would be stupid.

not only is Master Blaster in charge of Barter town he is also 100% right. It'd be a HUGE mistake to take a fight on such short notice against opponents the caliber of v.overeem or Cormier

Yeah good for Griggs.  A few days would not get him prepared for someone as experienced as Overeem or for Daniel Cormier's wrestling.  But I'd probably pick both Overeem and Cormier over Griggs regardless of prep time.

Griggs should fight Shane Del Rosario while Overeem and Cormier fight to determine two definitive tournament replacements.  Not on the Columbus card though.  Maybe on the June card?

June card yeah, if you want to align the tournament fights.  Or April I guess if you want to take the safest bet of giving them as much time as possible to heal from any injuries.

id really like to watch griggs vs cormier though theres really no argument against what he said about needing adequate time to prepare.
