Melton Bowen Wiki

Melton Bowen is a retired boxer known in MMA circles for being the second professional boxer to compete in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.  Bowen competed in the UFC 4 tournament in 1994, losing in the opening round to Steve Jennum.  Despite being taken down and mounted multiple times, Bowen gave a valiant effort before finally being submitted with an armbar at 4:47.  Jennum was unable to continue in the tournament due to swollen hands.
