Most of the time Tapology users pick the boxer with the best looking record. Sometimes records can be misleading!!!  2 examples on this card 11-0 Sep vs 18-6 Bolotniks. 5-0 Levy vs. 9-4 Guanini.
Looking at the records of these boxers you think that the undefeated boxers are the favourite. Most of the time you would be right to think that. But not always, the actual favourites are the boxers with defeats because they had fought much higher level of competition.  The Bookies had both of the undefeated boxers as underdogs. The Bookies were correct!!

that's kinda true for MMA as well. Seen so many people pick a fighter just because he hasn't lost or faced adversity yet. Sometimes the "journeyman" can be the better fighter, even if just for that one fight. So many guys in the regional MMA scenes have those crazy 10-67-2 records and in some of them are names of very notable MMA fighters.

Yeah, level of competition is important for me when I'm trying to break down a fight.
