One thing I don't like about the contender series is that there signing guys who shouldn't be in the UFC. UFC should be the best of the best. Half the fighter who win contract shouldn't be in the UFC. It pain me to think of the people they gonna cut because they’re expensive, so they can have 10k 10k fighters that won’t get 5 fights in before getting cut for nit being good.

UFC should only sign 2-3 people, Maybe 4 if it a great week. Bantamweight is a shark tank of talent which is Also have maybe 30-40 fighter I rate very highly. They don’t need them unless they gonna give guys easy wins

I honestly feel it is Dana getting rid of all the old fighters with high price tags, sign a killer for $10000+$10000

It's definitely signing all the meh talent possible on small contracts so they can inevitiably let go of far more talented but slightly more expensive fighters. This sport is just garbage with a company like the UFC at the helm of it all. Gotta support the bosses gambling & steroid habits somehow, I guess. This roster has been watered down and pretty bad for years now. I can't even begin to imagine how bland it looks in two years time.

The point of the Contender Series was to find some diamonds in the rough. A lot of MMA fighters are "good" but the Contender Series was created to find the hidden talent who was more than "good" and had potential to be seriously great.

Now in this new season they've had 9 fights and signed 10 fighters to the UFC. It's pathetic and defeats the purpose of what made the concept cool in the beginning. The UFC is content with mediocrity nowadays, and their roster is seriously starting to show as much.
