About a third of the way there.  It'll be fun to see Skinny Country at LHW.

Eh, that's still better than nothing though!

Tbqh, I don't see Roy Nelson doing well anywhere, but with LHWs having less power and less capable of forcing Nelson into "defense mode," perhaps he can actually show some skills other than being able to take punishment at 205.

Cool, I wonder how it will work out... He is a tough as nails, always entertaining fighter so I hope he gets some good results if he goes for it.

I know I've heard it said a lot before that if he dieted right and everything he can easily make LHW, but I'm no expert on this. So, what do you guys think? Does he have the type of body to make a good cut to 205?

I think his frame he could actually make MW...He's 6' and through the shoulders isn't real thick, but it'll take help from someone like Mike Dolce to make the cut

almost makes me wish i hadnt left facebook.

he was 263 for jds, 260 for mir, 252 for cro cop, 246 for werdum... looking at him he easily has belly to lose, i think he could get down to 230 (walking round) without to much trouble, whats rampage cut from, cant be much different to that.
he'll make it, wether speed becomes a problem without loosing even more size is another matter

@brad Yes he can. If you trim all the fat on Roy Nelson and put muscle, I think he could be at a 210lb walking weight.

@kaonohiokala I see Roy destroying the LHW division to be honest. No one can knock him out in HW, how the hell would anyone KO him in the LHW division?

I think the first fight I'd have to see if Roy went to LHW would be him vs. Hendo. I think the over/under should be set at 15 H-Bombs before Roy Nelson stumbles.

The JDS fight was so sick. I kept thinking/hoping that Roy might eventually rock JDS with that overhand right he was hitting him with. It really looked like JDS was gonna tire just wailing on him... almost.

I think Roy would be better off staying at HW where the fighters are slower and less athletic, kind of like Roy himself.

He should do it because its whats best for his career, not to have 100k people like your fan page.

Go to 205, where the fighters are younger, faster, and more stacked

And weaker. Roy Nelson would be the best striker (excluding Lyoto and Shogun of course) in the division from the minute he enters it.

@thiagosilva9794 He'd be one of the best all-around strikers, as in offensive striking and defensive striking combined together. Not technical striking, because I could also name 10 better strikers in the LHW division. But if his chin factors into all-around striking (which I think does), then you gotta put him up there.
