Wood vs. Moroz II
Maryna Moroz, DEC
If Wood/Moroz stays on the feet I could see Wood winning a SD. She's more aggressive and effective in her striking, and Moroz isn't a particularly good wrestler. Feel like Moroz winning really hinges on Wood being washed or being able to find top position. With all of that said, it’s hard to be too confident in JoJo considering her age, mileage and by her own admission, being about to retire. My pick is Moroz by sub or decision, but I’m not too confident in her sub chances.

O'Malley vs. Vera II
Sean O'Malley, TKO, R2
Vera is a come back king. But to give to much space to Sean, is a really bad idea. He probably get KOed easy on this

Poirier vs. Saint-Denis
Dustin Poirier, DEC
Saint-Dennis is a solid fighter. But Dustin is Dustin. Many people say that Dustin is done because he got KOed from Justin, but this was only a kick that he didn't saw it coming. We have to remember who he is..Very close fight that can go on borh ways

Lins vs. Cutelaba
Ion Cutelaba, TKO, R1
Ion is a stupid fighter, but he’s an incredibly dangerous one with some legit skills. If things go his way, it’s gonna be a quick KO, and I don’t think that’s out of the realm of possibility considering how fragile Lins has looked at times. We’re also talking about a guy in Lins who has beat just one fighter under the age of 35 in the last five years… I’m not overlooking Ion’s tendency to crumble, and I do think Lins has a chance to win this one, but in a volatile fight between two flawed fighters, I’m going with Ion. His only real weapon is the first round KO, but that’s also Lins biggest weakness in MMA.

Pereira vs. Oleksiejczuk
Michel Pereira, DEC
Pereira is just too smart for Michal. Michal has the tools to make this dirty but imo Pereira is way more well rounded, durable and has a clear cut gameplan he can use to win this. Outside of Michal finding his chin or Pereira’s low fight IQ rearing it’s ugly head, I’m pretty comfortable taking him to outwork Michal to a late stoppage or decision.

Despaigne vs. Parisian
Robelis Despaigne, TKO, R1
I’m not confident in Robelis, but I’m also not confident in Parisian. I’ll go with Robelis, simply because size and power are such big weapons at heavyweight, but I won’t be shocked if he gets next leveled.

Vergara vs. Almabaev
Asu Almabaev, SUB, R2
Vergara has gone life and death with some pretty low level guys at 125. I know we’ve seen some pretty big upsets lately, what with Charles Johnson beating that other Kazakh uberprospect, but this feels different to me. Almabaev can go long, has finishing ability in every round, and has CJ outmatched in pretty much every area outside of pure striking and power. I think Asu could find a sub early or late, so I’m going to go with round 2.

Cerminara vs. Barber
Chookagian, DEC
Barber just has a way of taking close fights that she probably should have lost. She’s also taking on one of the best point fighters in the UFC. I really have no idea who wins this, but I’ll go Chookagian just because she’s more experienced and has better IQ.

Gamrot vs. dos Anjos
Mateusz Gamrot, DEC
Another fight that could be a lot closer than the paper numbers would have you think. I’m gonna take the cowards way out and pick Gamrot.

Munhoz vs. Phillips
Kyler Phillips, DEC
All I can say is this will probably be close. Munhoz has a way of making almost any fight competitive, but ultimately, I figure Phillips does more damage and wins enough time to take a close split.

My biggest bet on the card. He's just going to be too much especially after Blaydes gasses and panic wrestles. I see him getting subbed in rnd 2. Pass the torch.

Voluptuous New Predictions

Predictions: 8 of 11 Winners, 5 Perfect, 525 Points   |   Tied for 4727th

Vergara vs. Almabaev
I go for Asu Almabaev at -575. He has an amoral clinch. Almabaev shall impair the performance.

Cerminara vs. Barber
I appoint Maycee Barber at -210. She has a bonkers lumberjack sweep and a kinky back mount and also a natural osoto gari. Barber might fight the deed. Cash me outside!

Burns vs. Maddalena
I elect Jack Della Maddalena at -170. He has a maladapted takedown and a militant tsuri-dashi. Maddalena is gonna feign the rival.

Holland vs. Page
I go for Kevin Holland at -135. He has a creative five point palm exploding heart technique and an odd scissors sweep. Holland must penetrate the counteragent.

Gamrot vs. dos Anjos
I favor Mateusz Gamrot at -440. He has a casual powerbomb. Gamrot will capture the bandit.

Munhoz vs. Phillips
I am loyal to Kyler Phillips at -220. He has a brash double knife hand block and a glamorous crescent kick. Phillips shall usurp the underdog. It's a lock!

O'Malley vs. Vera II
I favor Sean O'Malley at -265. He has an exotic mounted elbow drop and a laudable double leg flapjack and also a villainous suplex. O'Malley will likely climb the underdog. Держи хвост пистолетом!

Pereira vs. Oleksiejczuk
I select Michel Pereira at -150. He has a lame character. Pereira could finish the cycle.

Poirier vs. Saint-Denis
I am loyal to Benoit Saint-Denis at -220. He has a zingy gas tank. Saint-Denis is about to damage the dissentient.

Wood vs. Moroz II
I like Maryna Moroz at -240. She has a radioactive hammerlock. Moroz will likely vandalize the bandit.

Despaigne vs. Parisian
I select Robelis Despaigne at -340. He has a casual full nelson. Despaigne can shatter the masterpiece.

Yan vs. Song
Yadong Song, DEC
Petr is not Petr anymore..

Blaydes vs. Almeida
Jailton Almeida, TKO, R2
Big step for Almeida but he is ready for it. Curtis is a strong wrestler but nothing that Almeida can't handle. He is also a good wrestler, and a lot better than Curtis in boxing. His ability to play with the distance when he exchange punches will propably be the key for this

Gamrot vs. dos Anjos
Mateusz Gamrot, TKO, R1
RDS used to be be amazing, but not anymore. Gamrot is a superb fighter with all the weapons on his arsenal. Cardoo, wresting, TDD, sticking power...

Munhoz vs. Phillips
Kyler Phillips, DEC
Oh come on..

Pereira vs. Oleksiejczuk
Michel Pereira, TKO, R1
Pereira is not the fighter that you can relay on. He may win and start doing tekken tricks, but Michal has some win over finished fighters and many loses that makes him not trustworthy

Despaigne vs. Parisian
Robelis Despaigne, DEC
Parisian is just a joke

Vergara vs. Almabaev
Asu Almabaev, SUB, R3
Probably the underdog is gonna bark here ..

Wood vs. Moroz II
Maryna Moroz, TKO, R2

Wood vs. Moroz II
Maryna Moroz, DEC
Filling out the main card is an important fight at welterweight between Gilbert Burns and Jack Della Maddalena. Although I can understand the support coming in for Maddalena, I warn anyone who is completely discounting Burns in this spot. Despite putting on some barnburner performances at welterweight, Burns is not beyond returning to his grappling base to win fights (e.g. his fight with Stephen Thompson). Should Burns elect to test Maddalena’s takedown defense and decision-making in this fight, then no one should be surprised. That said, I still find myself siding with Maddalena in this spot. Many may point to his Bassil Hafez fight or the back exposure he offers in scrambles, but I believe that those things aren’t as troubling looks if properly contextualized. In fact, if Maddalena can prove that he can survive Burns’ grappling offense in the first round, then the Australian should be particularly live to find a finish in the second frame. The pick is Maddalena by knockout in Round 2.
