Beyond the numbers

Predictions: 6 of 8 Winners, 0 Perfect, 300 Points   |   Tied for 5198th

I like to find aspects of fighters/events that might have an effect on outcome, 2 concepts i got going on here:

1. Boston card - Ian Garry is a good pick since he gets toss up fights to boost his credibility. Boston crowd should amplify that. O'MALLEY ! in that same line of thinking, if your going to flyer on someone thats where I'm going.

2. Chito - I'm not confident in him much these days, not a fan of his fight style. But there is some political upheaval in Ecuador right now, maybe expect a more motivated Marlon this time around (will check him during weight ins and faceoff)

I feel that Aljo has had so much good luck, he deserves to lose a decision. The odds for an unfair split decision going against him are nice

Glad they got a fight booked for Mario. Blackshear is a sav for stepping in on short notice like that. Can’t blame him for keeping the momentum going after such a performance. Not an easy matchup for either. Respect.

Sterling won a clear 48-47 against Yan and I did thought Sterling was the rightful winner agaist Cejudo

But I also say  with the Cejudo fight, Sterling won it on a round robbery, one judge gave Sterling round 5 which was a Cejudo round

No offence taken! I appreciate your views. Of course everyone will have their own opinion on this but I think Aljo lost his 2nd fight against Yan on damage criteria and the fight against Henry was a cointoss. Personally I think though he did better than I expected against Cejudo he still lost. Obviously that was a close fight and open to interpretation.

My point is that the fight between Aljo and O'Malley will be pretty close in my opinion now that I've rewatched more tape. In fact now that I have thought about it I am going to actually switch my pick to O'Malley,

Also switching my pick from Karine Silva to Moroz. I hope I don't regret that, still I almost always get the first fight of the night wrong (and I think this will be the first fight) so what harm lol

Judges didn’t give Sterling the rematch because of control, the round he won with back control, being Round 2 and 3 he won off damage anyway, and the swing round that was round 1,  he had no control or grappling so the only thing really to score is damage,

Everyone who score it for Sterling include myself, think he did more in round 1 to win it, he landed more and landed the best stike of the round

Also, in round 1, Sterling was going backwards and counter fighting, So Yan had the control in that round if you want to be technical

yeah basically what Damien said. I think they were both close but clear, correct decisions. but I guess that's neither here nor there if your only point is that they were close fights, therefore, in addition to a few other things, you're leaning O'Malley

There is no way to take a W !

(Only if something happens and Starling is injured or something similar, or if the UFC somehow fixed the result... !

I actually think that. For me the most likely outcome is Sterling by submision. If he is capable of taking Sean down repeatedly every round, hes gonna find that long neck of Sean sooner or later.
If it gets to a decision, it means that there was not that much ground control every round, meaning Sean was scoring flashy points on the feet, probably enough to get him the W, even if close or split. In this case Sean by KO of course is also possible
