I didn't have a great night either.

My main parlay was Mokohonoana, Khasan, Nickal, Rakhmonov but Valentina busted my other big one so I took a small loss this week, should have played the O1.5.

I guess we have to take the lows with the highs sometimes but there are some very nice plays coming up with this card, Bellator + ufc london

I hope Carlston Harris wins this fight. I really think he is top 15 talent and is great for the whole continent of Africa. Tony Gravely should maul Henry after what happened his last fight. Lipski sucks. Cannetti has been literally given non-UFC talent his last 3-4 fights. SQ Dumas should maul Fremd. Davey Grant is good enough to beat an old Assuncao. Karl Williams is an overweight light heavyweight facing a decent heavyweight. Petrino vs Turkalj is tough cause Turkalj was supposed to be highly touted but looked kind of rough his last couple of fights while Petrino looks like a world beater. **** the fake Nurmagomedov. I hope Martinez beats on him. Ramos is so underrated and should win that fight. After seeing Neal fight Shavkat, I don't know even know how good Ryan Spann is anymore. Romanov has potential, but he ain't beating Volkov. This fight is a must win for Yan now, so I'm guessing he will win.

@gilese I don’t know the measurements of the cage but since it’s in a casino arena one would assume it’s a big cage and not the apex cage

Andrew

Yeah was not fantastic. Ive had a bad 2 months overall but it was the same beginning last year and I ended up with massive profits.

Just going to be more careful with my parlay legs from this week on.

We need Mezzor. Bring him back!

Yeah not the Apex cage, but I don't know if the UFC is building new cages and if they'd prefer a small one if they did. I don't know if this cage is an old one or newly constructed.

This is a must win for Yan, You can't be 1-4 in your last 5 and be the best in your division , even if you don't count the first Sterling fight because he was gonna win that fight before the knee, Being on a 3 fight losing streak they're no argument you the best in the division. And he has to work his way back up

I'm hoping for Yan to win this clearly , I don't like Merab, And Yan is one of the most entertaining fighter on the roster, He's Aldo, Sandhagen and O'Malley fight are all time classic, I think it between him and Gaecje for being the most fun to watch,

I'm not even criticizing Yan, All I'm saying is that he's kept losing fight, It not good for his career, Even if you think some of his lost are unfair (I agree on some of them), A lost is a lost, And it would suck for another lost to derail he career because he arguably the most skilled bantamweight and also arguably the most entertaining fighter on the roster

his Aldo. Sandhagen and O'Malley fights are all time classic

Honestly not sure Yan makes it back to top
He should beat Merb as he flirts with striking enough to get caught.

Nurmagomedov vs. Martinez
Said Nurmagomedov, DEC
Jonathan Martinez is one of my favorite fighters in the UFC but I hate this matchup for him

Bautista vs. Cannetti
Mario Bautista, TKO, R3
Mario Bautista is also one of my favorite fighters. He should win this but Guido has the abilities to steal a win at any moment.

I don't think Merab is on the same level of striking as Petr and the other top 5's, Yan's body shot are probably gonna f up Merab in this one and yan was able to out-wrestle Aljo at times so he won't get wrestle F'ed

Yan by violent tko in the later rounds.

Yan vs. Dvalishvili
Merab Dvalishvili, DEC
Merab can handle a striking match, but who are we kidding. He grapples his way into a decision and will manage to humanize Petr. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a finish too.

Gravely vs. Henry
Tony Gravely, DEC
I just ******* hate Henry

Nam vs. Silva
Tyson Nam, DEC
SIlva is an amazing fighter, but Nam definetely has his eyes set on getting a victory against an up and commer with two straight first round finnishes. His unorthodox striking is something that the Brazilian hasn't faced. Age is just a number in Tyson's case as well.

Harris vs. Nurmagomedov
Abubakar Nurmagomedov, DEC
Prepare for a hug fest as the Dagestani native grapple ****s his way up the Mozambique's ass.

Jon Jones

I have never ever made guarantees that someone wins a fight.

Yes I have said people are locks. I've been right a lot. Wrong a few times. But I have never before said I guarantee a result.

But I did last card. I guaranteed that Jon Jones would win. And he did. Easily. Despite so many people thinking Gane would pull it off I knew 100% that was not happening.

How? Again simple economics.

Jon Jones vs Gane. Who did the UFC absolutely need to win? Not want to win... NEED to win? Jon Jones.

Why? Simple. Money and Ngannou.

Jon has always said he was under paid. Never happy with his contract. And now he is very very happy with his new contract. Basically they are paying him millions and investing in him becoming the heavy weight champion and the biggest draw in MMA. Its obvious.

And there is another reason. Ngannou. If Ngannou left the UFC and then secured a huge pay day in boxing as the UFC heavy weight championship what is to stop other fighters doing that? Where is the financial levarage that the UFC has over fighters if they can sit out their contract without fighting and losing and then go to another organisation and earn more than they did in the UFC? They have already adjusted all the new contracts with the sunset clause so you can't just sit out a contract if you turn down fights that are offered. And trust me, they will offer the worst fights as you leave (Eg. Nate Diaz vs Khamzat).

So how do they prevent Ngannou from doing that? As the UFC HW champ and baddest man on the planet? They arrange another HW title match immediately with an even bigger star, Jon Jones, who can secure huge future matchups and will become the new HW champ and the future of the division. Immediately Ngannous position and value is diminished, he is no longer the HW Champ or the baddest man on the planet and every other UFC fighter is put on notice that leaving the UFC this way will not end well. If Cyril Gane who had already lost to Ngannou became champ it would not have worked.

How did I know Jones would win? How did they adjust the rules so that he would not be in violation of doping? Why did this all happen so recently?

They basically gave him a fight they knew he would win. Easily. Gane with zero ground game. And they let him loose on him. And it was a massacre.

There's your answer. Sometimes the narrative writes itself.

I hope you listened to me and bet big on Jones. He was never ever going to lose. Too much depended on him winning.

Easy call. Basically, you don't mess with the UFC. They are too smart and too savvy. You have to admire how they always win.

Exactly. That's why they knew he would win easily over an over rated scrub who only just recently started MMA like Gane. Trust me he is not some HW Wonderboy like everyone was making him out to be. He was ok. And had a lot of favourable match ups with strikers.

They knew he would destroy Gane. It wasn't going to be close.

And I can't believe that so many people thought that someone who is only what, 10 fights into his career beating fat and sloppy heavyweights and who possesses no ground game would beat the true Greatest to ever do it, who has fought nothing but killers his entire career. It was ridiculously easy for Jones.

I truly regret betting that the fight would go to R2 and lost about 10k in parlay money because of it. Silly me.
