Tosh. I hate to break it to you bud, but what you did is not science either. It’s mostly a sociological depedent attempt at assuming other peoples behavior. Reminds me of all the body language experts that were calling Poirier mentally defeated in the second Conor fight.

Just watched the weigh-in faceoffs and Maia didn't put her hand across her belly, that was Shelby's hand becuase Chookagian got a little close.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 6 of 10 Winners, 3 Perfect, 390 Points   |   Tied for 932nd

Kattar vs. Chikadze
Giga Chikadze, TKO, R2
Excited for this one. Nice to see Kattar back. But can Giga get another body kick?

Sherman vs. Collier
Jake Collier, DEC
Sherman seemed to give up last time against Porter when he got tired and it got a little tough. Same thing this time?

Royval vs. Bontorin
Rogério Bontorin, SUB, R1
Royval too wild and gives away a sub like the Pantoja fight. If it passes to the second half of the fight Bontorin might fade and Royval gets it.

Chookagian vs. Maia II
Katlyn Chookagian, DEC
Chookagian on dec via point fighting kickboxing style as always i guess.

Bush vs. Borshchev
Viacheslav Borshchev, TKO, R2
Russian dude shows who is hairy with a KO/TKO R2.

Brito vs. Algeo
Bill Algeo, DEC
Smells like FOTN? Algeo is wild and fun to watch. Have not seen the other guy but he looks like a scrappy 40 year old vet on the pic but is only 25, I think he is game.

Pickett vs. Holmes
Jamie Pickett, DEC
If Picket could win against Staropoli he can do the same here. Both seem to mostly have wins over cans though..

Brahimaj vs. McGee
Ramiz Brahimaj, DEC
Havent seen much of Brahimaj but he looked good last time and can take a comfortable 30-27 here. Think its hard to finish McGee

Kelleher vs. Croom
Brian Kelleher, SUB, R1
Scramble fest that ends in a boometine.

Brown vs. Rosa
Charles Rosa, DEC
Rosa wins every other fight in his UFC career, thats just what he does. Its a fact.

Tieoken, I hate to break it down to you, but as an educated person I expected more from you.
I did not say I rely on or employ the junk science of body language in my work, I said I study it, which means I've drawn no conclusions.  Body cues are useful at times, at other times, not so much, in the course of study.
And I wasn't comparing what I do to science, I was comparing science with what police use to make their  assessments.  I understand what you were getting at, and your point is valid.  But please don't attempt to school me on a subject based on the meager sentences I provided.  Your intelligence is appreciated except when it tries to encroach on mine.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 6 of 10 Winners, 3 Perfect, 390 Points   |   Tied for 932nd

Kattar vs. Chikadze
Calvin Kattar, TKO, R4
Ok, if Giga pulls this off, it will make me a believer but I don't think so. The Moicano loss does have me concerned but...

Sherman vs. Collier
Jake Collier, DEC
Damn, definitely will be rooting against my own pick here

Royval vs. Bontorin
Brandon Royval, DEC
Wouldn't bet on this one either.

Chookagian vs. Maia II
Jennifer Maia, DEC
In a dream scenario, Maia punches her in the throat in the first few seconds and we don't have to listen to her.

Bush vs. Borshchev
Viacheslav Borshchev, TKO, R2
Can Hairy make it to the 2nd.

Brito vs. Algeo
Joanderson Brito, DEC
although a finish wouldn't surprise me

Pickett vs. Holmes
Joseph Holmes, SUB, R2
And when this one was announced, it was at LHW. STEP ON THE SCALE WHEN YOU ENTER THE CAGE!!

Brahimaj vs. McGee
Court McGee, DEC
Maybe the 2nd most interesting fight on the card for me

Kelleher vs. Croom
Brian Kelleher, DEC
Wouldn't bet on it with those odds and size difference. 9 inch reach advantage!?! Croom didn't look 5 inches taller

Brown vs. Rosa
Charles Rosa, SUB, R2
So this bout is at LW. ******' weight-cutting. Rosa subs him after catching him with his underrated striking.

I get it Tosh. But Mule’s comment kind of belies my whole point. Wrapping conjecture in the facade of applied logic doesn’t make it educated or correct. I know there is an element of logic to it, but there’s a very good reason why the absolute most credentialed kinesic psychologist would have no impact in a court of law. Because you’re still shooting carnival odds.

Being right more often than a regular person still isn’t useful if you aren’t right often.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 7 of 10 Winners, 3 Perfect, 440 Points   |   Tied for 439th

Kattar vs. Chikadze
Giga Chikadze, TKO, R2
Giga will get the win. Even though Kattar is a great boxer, Giga is a great kickboxer and he finished Edson Barboza.

Sherman vs. Collier
Jake Collier, DEC
I'm taking Collier. Both guys aren't good but Sherman is so bad. Imagine losing to Parker Porter...

Royval vs. Bontorin
Brandon Royval, DEC
Royval probably won't submit Bontorin because he has good submission defense but Royval will beat him anywhere this fight goes. Bontorin is very good but I think Royval is just better.

Chookagian vs. Maia II
Katlyn Chookagian, DEC
Chookagian wins this boring rematch.

Bush vs. Borshchev
Viacheslav Borshchev, TKO, R2
Slava Claus is coming to town. Bush is going to want to take him down but even if he does, Slava should get back up every time and that's going to tire Bush out. Bush is also very hittable and is a kill or be killed fighter. Slava lays him out.

Brito vs. Algeo
Bill Algeo, DEC
People are sleeping on Algeo. Brito is a good prospect but I have a feeling that Algeo will stuff a couple of takedowns and keep this standing. Both guys are fine strikers, Algeo more technical, Brito more power. I have a feeling Brito is gonna gas bad if this fight hits the third round.

Pickett vs. Holmes
Jamie Pickett, TKO, R2
I'm backing Pickett here. Holmes is a fine prospect but Pickett is a bit better. So many questions marks with Pickett though. Even though he beat Staropoli in his last fight, he didn't look good and you can argue that he lost.

Brahimaj vs. McGee
Ramiz Brahimaj, SUB, R2
Court has never been subbed but that changes tonight. When Ramiz fights the correct game plan, he looks super good.

Kelleher vs. Croom
Brian Kelleher, SUB, R1
Club and sub coming for Kelleher. Croom should be in Bellator.

Brown vs. Rosa
Charles Rosa, SUB, R1
-250 for Brown? Ooofff. Both guys aren't great but Rosa is being disrespected. Rosa will sub him if he doesn't gas out per usual.
