I bet he's right haha. Diaz is still one of my favorite fighters who cares if he doesn't like the spotlight and doing PR stuff the guy just wants to kick some ass.

I like Diaz as a fighter, but he is one of the most delusional people I have ever seen.

Everytime Diaz opens his mouth something even more dumb then before comes out. You knew it was a press conference and you knew if you didn't show up Dana would replace you. This isn't the minor leagues anymore. Bottom line is Diaz knew GSP was going to dominate him so he found a way out. All that stuff about if he saw him on the street blah blah blah Diaz wouldn't call him any names or get in his face. He only says that to build up this tough guy persona so certain fans will eat it up.

If he was worried about GSP dominating him then why would he even take the fight in the first place? doesnt make any sense really.

The problem with Diaz is that, in his own words, he wants to be a fighter and not a sportsman.  The UFC is trying to make MMA a sport.  The days of simply being a cage fighter are over, as far as the UFC is concerned.  He had some choice words for GSP, but the problem is, GSP is a professional fighter.  He gets paid to fight.  It's not personal for him.  He is not going to street-fight out by the dumpsters just for the hell of it.  Most fighters don't give a **** who they're fighting as long as they get paid and it's helping further their careers.  Period.

"If I saw Georges on the street and called him a *****, I bet you he wouldn't do [expletive]. I bet you if I walked up and gave him a slap, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't do [expletive]."  Why would he?  Why would he take a chance on getting injured, going to jail or getting tossed out of the UFC for nothing?

Don't get me wrong, I love watching two guys who hate each other brawling, but damn.  Either you want to be a "professional" fighter and get paid or you want to be a "fighter."

If Diaz slapped him on the street, GSP would whoop his ass right there. He won't react to talk, but GSP has said if someone lays a hand on him he would fight back. Diaz needs to stop ducking press conferences, pretty simple. I don't buy this "social anxiety" ********.

@poir420 he asked for a fight with GSP not actually believing that the UFC would give it to him. Then when they did he couldn't not accept it at that point. Cesar Gracie and Nick Diaz both know this fight would have made Diaz look bad. It's the same reason Diaz ran from Tyrone Woodley. If Diaz actually fought the best out there he'd be exposed for what he really is.

Diaz just doesn't have the social skills to deal with all the scrutiny that comes with being a celebrity of sorts as a UFC contender.  I feel bad for the guy.  He's a great fighter, but I don't think he's capable of acting professional, or even rational for that matter.

@itfigures, that's the problem, it is honest!

Normal people don't depend on other "people" to wake them up, dress them, hold their hand and get them to press conferences. You're an adult, you can do that stuff yourself.

Normal people don't spend their days wondering what other people would do if you smacked them or called them a ***** on the street. That's what punkass weirdos do.

why is he calling out GSP for not sticking up for him? like it's GSP's fault or something, you had your chance to prove  to the world you're one of the best and you can only blame yourself for blowing it

wow @geez you could not be more right. He's a 28 year old "man" but acts as if he's 12. He still talks like a high school punk and how any adult human being thinks that's cool is beyond me.

It's just a bunch of excuses. Cesar offered to drive him and Nick ran away. Help was offered to him and he refused it. Now he's saying "If they would've helped me I would've been there". What a joke.
