Expected for Dallas. Excellent fight. Looking like the card of the year on paper.

Let's go Poirier!!! Big fight for him and I think he can pull it off!  FOTN right here!

I honestly can't see this fight getting out of the first round, Eddie thrives off of guys who will trade in the pocket with him and that's exactly what Dustin is going to do. Thinking he hurts Eddie early, but then gets caught late in the round.

This fight is pretty hard to pick. Poirier is definitely the slicker guy in there, but he can most certainly be drawn into a brawl, which is what Eddie wants.
Who knows how Eddie's gonna look after getting destroyed by Conor. I don't think Eddie's the type to let that affect him, though. I just think that Poirier is the quicker guy, and has the better ground game. If the Dustin that showed up against Duffy and Medeiros shows up, I feel like he can absolutely win.

I have a feeling Eddie got a serious reality check against Conor. As opposed to Poirier who was clearly intimadated before the Conor fight and maybe took that loss as a "that's where I want to be" kind of thing, Eddie truly thought he was the better fighter and in his interviews afterwards he looked really rattled, as if he'd come to a realization that this guy was actually that much better than him (of course being sent to sleep would also make a guy look rattles in interviews). I don't think he'd ever admit it, even to himself, but that's how he looked to me (again, I take my psychological observations with a grain of salt since the guy had just been removed from his senses not long before those interviews).

I have to say I'm pretty curious to see how Eddie comes back mentally because his mental toughness is a HUGE part of his success. He's got talent everywhere, but nothing amazing, so what usually set him  apart was the fact that he was almost always the tougher guy in the cage mentally. I don't know how realizing that someone out there is that much better than you (if in fact that's a realization he actually had of course, I'm only speculating) affects your self-belief, and subsequentially, your mental toughness.

Yeah I was kind of surprised they put Cejudo/Pettis on the main card over this one, with Eddie being the former champ.

Alvarez is still able to have the job done.. we can't just based ourselves on his last performance.. not a good matchup for Dustin.. Poirier is chiny he ll not be able to trade in the pocket for a long time.. he doesn't have a lot of ways to victory
