Great fight, but Poirier is surging and Johnson is slipping.

I was worried Hidalgo was going to get a **** main event but I think this is a better main than either San Antonio or Austin got in 2014, might make the trip down worth while!

Poirier is too hot right now...good fight but I think he'll be too much for Johnson. I'd love to see this be a 5-round war, but I have a feeling Poirier continues his run of impressive first round KO's (outside of the Duffy fight, which he still dominated).

Poirier will finish Johnson. Just can't decide if it'll be via a (T)KO from a clean shot followed by a blitz, or from a sub.

I'm surprised how many people are counting out Johnson here. I get he's on a 2 fight skid, but that consisted of a garbage decision for Dariush, and a loss against a motivated, in-shape, on-point Nate Diaz. People seem to forget right before that he dominated Edson Barboza from bell to bell. I got him pulling off an upset decision against Poirier.

Well you better pick Johnson then!

Johnson really hasn't fallen off as much as we'd like to think, everyone and their mums thought Johnson beat Beneil Dariush but after 6 months to a year, we only see W's and L's and forget what actually happened. In reality Johnson is 4-1 in his last 5 with wins over Melvin Guillard, Gleison Tibau, Edson Barboza ( who he picked apart standing for 15 minutes ) and Beneil Dariush with an upset loss to Nate Diaz who looked better than ever vs him.

In my opinion if Pea-Head pulls this one off, he's a contender and 1 or 2 at the most wins away from a title shot. At this point if he beats Johnson, his currently run is much more impressive than what Eddie Alvarez did to get his title shot.

@poir420 I'm done doubting Dustin Poirier, I'll be picking him over Michael Johnson just wanted to point out, Johnson is no slouch...actually Johnson has quite the resume Joe Lauzon, Tony Ferguson, Edson Barboza, Gleison Tibau, Melvin Guillard and depending on how you want to look at it Beneil Dariush.

Lightweight division is like a dirty rug right now though, it needs to get shaken up and see where we are after the dust settles.

Yeah for sure Johnson is a tough fight. I doubt he can finish Poirier but he may be able to get the nod in a decision.

Poirier has been looking unstoppable even since the loss to McGregor. Michael Johnson is coming off of losing to Nate Diaz, and I think Poirier is going to stay on his hot streak.

Poirier has more tools and can certainly box with mj. Also has the grappling to nullify the wrestling. Idk if he finds a finish, but it should be dustin's fight to lose.

Been a fan of Dustin since his upset of Grispie at WEC.  The guy went out of his way to find me and my wife at a UFC event just to say hello and take a pic.  It doesn't hurt that he always shows up to fight.
