That's an absurd decision not because Lyoto won but because of the ridiculous scoring.

UFC 169 broke the record for most decisions on a card with 10. The very next event matches that number. Unreal.

Guys, a 50-45 score can still mean it was extremely close.

Mousasi disappoints....Ehhh, so did Jacare.

I had 3 rounds pretty clearly Machida and 2 close rounds one of which I swung to Mousasi.

@justyn What rounds did Mousasi clearly win exactly?  49-46 is how I had it, but 50-45 is appropriate.  By the way, I wanted Mousasi to win.

50-45 is just crazy, however Mousasi is good but he had to answers to Machida's style but it was back and forth

michigan, I didn't watch a fight. I watched a points match. How hard the strikes land (not what the announcers say) matters as much if not more than how many. I would've scored it 48-47 Machida but what won it was his grappling. The striking was very even especially when you consider who was pushing the fight.

@fresno I guess you can't say he clearly won any rounds but nor did Machida.
I had 1, 2, and 4 for Gegard, 3 and 5 for Machida. Every round was close but I don't see in what world Machida takes all 5.

Beautiful fight, love these two guys. very good fighters, technical,  respectful, very entertaining to watch for me. it was a close fight but imo Machida dominated most of the fight, I saw a 49-46 for Machida, best fight of the card easily, but it wasn't a good card though. at least got me 1 perfect even if it was a decision perfect.

Mousasi won round 4 after the sweep and later ground control and Round 2 was close.1,3 and 5 Machida won clearly. I reckon 49-46 .

Not sure, but it seemed Machida hurt him with the "flying-forearm-danHendersonstyle" towards the end and could have finished if he had 30s more

@mule, I think Machida controlled he pace. He got Gegard to follow him. That's his gameplan. I was pretty unbiased with this one too. I really like both those guys.
