Francisco Trinaldo Wiki Wiki Page

Massaranduba began with an amateur career, compiling a record of 6-1 in mixed martial arts. He is also a Brazilian Kickboxing champion. Massaranduba is a training partner of Paulo Thiago and Rani Yahya. He spends most of his training time at the Constrictor Team and occasionally at Brazilian Top Team, where he received large levels of hype, causing Sherdog.com to list him in August 2010 as their top prospect in MMA. Massaranduba is regarded as being hampered by financial issues that prevent his rise further in the sport. Coming from a disadvantaged background, Massaranduba struggles and has been quoted as saying "Sometimes I can’t train because I don’t have money to catch a bus and go to the academy. Massaranduba's professional career began in the Fight Club Tournament promotion, where he won his opening bout via unanimous decision. This was followed by a TKO due to corner stoppage. Massaranduba then fought twice more, securing a submission victory via arm-triangle choke and another victory via TKO due to punches and soccer kicks after 12 seconds. In March 2012, Massaranduba appeared as a fighter on The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil. He entered in the competition to fight in the Middleweight tournament.

When he began practicing MMA, he only wanted to fight. Then his friends began to compare it with the old sitcom character of "Casseta and Planeta from TV Globo called "Massaranduba".

Mini-fireworks erupted at the conclusion of the weigh-ins in a packed Arena Jaragua in Santa Catarina, Brazil, for Saturday night's UFC on FX 8 show.

After headliners Luke Rockhold and Victor Belfort had made weight, each coming in at 186, Rockhold walked up to Belfort for the stare down.

He kept walking, getting close but not bumping Belfort, when Belfort shoved him back hard and started yelli...

    Vitor Belfort vs. Luke Rockhold

Tim Burke: I don’t think Rockhold will be able to handle Vitor’s speed and power on the feet. Rockhold’s standup game is mainly kick-oriented and the way he punches leaves him wide open. If Jacare Souza and Tim Kennedy could take advantage of it (especially early in fights), a solid counterstriker like Vitor is going to lay him out. Rockhold’s chin will b...
