Nate: "My brother fight for the title after a loss, why can't I!?"

Nate.. you're coming off of two losses... and one was a loss in a title shot.. to the guy that Anthony Pettis beat.

Get some wins... many wins. And then you can start talking. Til then.. get to the back of the line.

He might be smoking too much lately.

He will be submitted before he flips any birds.

Pettis would most likely knock him out but there's no way Nate would get subbed by him.  I admit I underestimated Pettis' jiu jitsu since he got the sub on Bendo who has some of the best sub defense but Nate Diaz's jiu jitsu is something different.

Why are we even talking about what Pettis would do to him??? (1st tound KO via multiple liver kicks ;) ).

He doesn't deserve to think about being in the cage with Pettis right now ... he was dominated by Bendo and KTFO'd by Thomson. Get a win, then get another one, then talk Pettis.

That head kick from Thomson has apparently put him into lalaland permanently. My god, what a dumb thing to say.

Let's put it this way. If Thomson can kick Diaz square in the face, so can Pettis.... And I say this as a Diaz fan...sigh...

@amp112, I don't think Pettis even needs to go upstairs with the kick ... Diaz won't use any kind of footwork to stay out of the way and his skinny frame would crumble after just one of the 4-5 body kicks Bendo took. The only reason I think it'll take more than one is because Diaz is a tough SOB.

I think Diaz should try to bank on the fact that Maynard is in Rashad Evans land (as in, for a long time his whole life was about being a step away from the title and now he's searching for motivation) and win their rubber match (sort of) as the first step in earning a shot at Pettis.

@Yossgold,
Edit I got kim and maynard fight confused

I don't think Nate even needs to bank on Maynard being in Evans land. I mean Nate is just better then Maynard. I mean in there first fight he subbed Maynard. In there second fight Maynard was gifted a win in my opinion. Nate out struck Maynard landing significantly more shots, but it was a close fight. I do not however see how maynard could win a five round fight and is lucky this is a three rounder.

Maynard also dropped Nate in their rematch, though I agree it was a close fight. Not the worst drop ever, but a good shot. Single best shot of the fight for sure.

Maynard was way to laxxed after the knock down. He should have went after Nate.

The key to beating a Diaz brother is not letting them get into a rhythm. And that's not that difficult as we've seen. But once they do get into a rhythm, you're in trouble (ie: Nick vs BJ, Nate vs Cerrone)

They need to work at establishing that rhythm in different scenarios, because once the fight gets out of their comfort level, they buckle.

Nick Diaz and Chael Sonnen are the only people I can think of who got title fights coming off losses. Not many people can inspire that kind of fascination with fans. Nate Diaz is not Nick Diaz. Not when it comes to cult followings.
