I think all P4P rankings vary but overall if they are truly relevant and correct then they should look fairly similar.......

@t0rch there is no excuse to have Miowa in any rankings let alone P4P. I can understand listing him as one of your favorites but not in any p4p ranking.

To me, P4P isn't about what a fighter has accomplished at the current time or where they are in their career. A fighter fighting above their weight class means more to mean than some guy cutting 40 pounds trying to make lightweight.  We will agree to disagree. I will leave it at that.

Also, I should have Edgar in my rankings. I'll admit that. I will put him in later.

I would be more impressed if Minowa beat Urijah Faber than some 300 lb fighter with no MMA experience.

@T0rch But see, we have a "My All-Time Greatest Fighters" rankings list, which is where your list here would make the most sense. But whatever agree to disagree.

@beast can you explain just how you have Aldo over Jones? Jones obliterates way better competition, and are both essentially 10-0 under Zuffa. Aldo arguably lost a 10-8 round to a guy who lost his next fight in 7 seconds. Then lost a round to Florian. No possible way Jones should be below him.

Seriously Hominick's loss this weekend doesn't count! He lost his best friend and coach and this was his first fight back...You could tell from his walkout all that was on his mind was Shawn Tompkins and he was hurting

@beast you really think that Florian, Hominick, Gamburyan, Faber and MTB is > Rampage, Shogun, Machida, Bader. Is that a joke?

@BigJ so if domination is more important should Chael be ranked ahead of Anderson because for 23 1/2 minutes he DOMINATED him?

@RW yeah the #7 was a typo and I fixed it.

like I said earlier it is my list and I think that finishing fights and not leaving questions is more important.

@Lopati No because Chael still lost. Winning is more important than anything no matter how controversial winning is the most important to rankings. Having that W on your record.

I agree on the winning, its just the value of how you win where we disagree

finishing > decisioning

I'm not saying decisioning > finishing but I'm saying all finishes and decisions are not equal.

Dominating performance that ends in a finish like Jones vs Shogun or Jones vs Rampage > Dominating performance that ends in a decision victory like Couture vs Sylvia or GSP vs Fitch > Close fight that ends in Finish > Close fight that ends in unanimous decision > flash finish or comeback KO after being dominated > Split Decision.

It's not so cut and dry as Finish > Decision there are many levels.

Winning over quality opponents is always the most important thing. Smashing through tons of guys outside the top 30 or 50 is nothing compared to 1 split decision win over a top 10 opponent.
