I agree, with GSP as number 1, but not Diaz as two. He lost to Condit, so naturally, I have Condit as 2.

Reasonable people still have GSP as No. 1.

Once again I ask you to look at Koscheck's track record. Who has he beaten? I know he has impressive KOs and has subbed Anthony Johnson but his best win is either Johnson or imo Diego several years ago. He lost to Paulo Thiago and the only 2 fighters he's faced who've been ranked higher than Paulo: Thiago Alves and GSP,

I see what you're saying about Kos still think he's top 10, but maybe not quite as high as I have him

@mule, I don't understand. You say that yet you have Ben Askren and Rory MacDonald ranked.

here is mine, GSP is obviously still nr.1 (hopefully not for much longer tho) and Askren creeps up on 10 just with wrestling alone. If Rory has an exciting showing this weekend Askren gets dropped immediately, just because...

GSP is out due to a year-long absence from the cage.

He's still the best welterweight on the planet and I think he'd beat Anderson.

Technicalities, the best welterweight should be at number one. Condit hasn't earned that number one spot yet.

i think gsp knows his injury is far worse than he has let on. every week he gets a new sponser. some poker place is sponsoring him. he is trying to make as much money as he can before his fighting days are over.there is nothing wronfg with that either. i think he knows his days are numbered. plus remember long layoffs and surgeries are almost guaranteed victories for the fighters fighting these guys. i'll take condit any day over gsp. to be fair i dropped diaz too b/c anybody who pisses "green" twice does not deserve to be in there.

Yes I think the champ deserves #1 spot until he gets beaten or is out of action for over a year.  I know it's close to a year layoff for him but the only time I would put Condit over GSP is if Condit defended his interim title which he made pretty clear he's not going to do.

Idc, as long as GSP is certain for a return, he will always be number one until someone beats him.
I mean, if im not mistaken GSP hasnt lost a round in a very long time. And when he returns will continue his dominance i believe.
However, for me as far as who i think is better, I have GSP one, Condit/Diaz at number two and Ellenberger/Mcdonald as number 3. even though i believe Ellenberger and Diaz are better than Condit, both of whom i actually won there fights against him or at least a draw. I have to have Condit up there simply due to him beating them according to the judges.
But hey, Just my opinion.

they say maybe november. thats 19 months off inactivity. he is gone from my list. plus his restructured knee. it may never be the same. he might not have the same push off for his TD's. my money is on whoever will fight him. fighters with surgery AND in activity have horrible records. just stating some facts

I'm not saying he shouldn't be #1 at all but in GSP's last fight Shields took 2 of the 5 rounds on 2 of the 3 cards so GSP has lost rounds on the scorecards just in his last fight.  Just noticed you mentioned not remembering him losing any rounds recently @sauz

Didn't update my ranking that will pop up with this, but bump Hendricks up to 4 or so and everyone else back a spot and it might be updated.  I might need to sneak Bahadurzada in there too somewhere.

And probably Vemola at 170 by next month unless he just goes to 145.

EDIT: Damn, 9 more months Wolf and it's already been a year.  That'll etch him off of my list.
