I just have a feeling GSP will bounce back like Tom Brady and Wes Welker did!

@thiagosilva yeah 5 years ago. Remember what happened the 2nd time they fought? I do!!!

@wolf that is very true with most athletes coming back from a serious knee injury. GSP is not a normal athlete though. The guy is a perfectionist when it comes to training and preparing and I guarantee that is the same with his rehab. When he starts training for Condit everyone else will be talking and thinking about his knee except for himself because he knows he did what was necessary to come back full strength.

GSP needs to fight to keep his rankings.  Every 3 months inactive after a year he needs to slip 1 position IMO.

@Wolf always has the most "unique" rankings...lol.  Ebersole in there aehad of Martin/Jake... Mike Pierce in there ahead of them.. after losing two of three...

I'm going to EDIT my rankings tomorrow when I can get my points, but Ebersole will lose to Waldberger :)

I'm not hatin on Ebersole.. I just don't think he should be ahead of Martin Kampmann/Diego Sanchez/Jake Ellenberger, let alone in the top10.. that's all.  I like Ebersole.

@wolf.  Not sure that I would ever hat on Ebersole I just don't think a split decision win over Claude Patrick puts that guy in the top 10.

Agreed 100 percent... but that doesn't rank him in the top10 is all I'm saying.

ebersole is 14-1 in his last 15 fights and his lone loss was lombard 4 years ago. just straightening out the facts. he defeated chris lytle and lytle had many wins

Wolf, I think people disagree with that because it doesn't matter quite how many wins you have in a row, but whether or not you beat a top contender. Ebersole has never beaten a consensus top ten, so to put him at 7 makes no sense, but then again, you seem to list favorites on your rankings rather than judging fighters by their accomplishments ... to each his own.

If you list them by potential, then even with his injury, why isn't GSP on your list?

i would say the potential for disaster is greater than domination but i see your point. BTW, i did not make this inactivity rule. plus i am not sure how many mma publications do it that way either. i know a few do.

The point I'm trying to make is the whole reason we created the rankings feature is so you guys can rank the top ten in each class according to what you think. In that case, I see no reason to follow arbitrary rules followed by MMA sites and blogs when choosing who you think the top ten fighters are in any weight class. GSP has been out for over a year ... okay, does that mean you honestly believe he is worse than the 10 fighters on your list?
