  1. 1

    Fedor Emelianenko vs. Fabrício Werdum
    Emelianenko vs. Werdum
    Fabrício Werdum | Submission | Round 1
    2010 | Strikeforce
The last emperor finally fell.....that's pretty much it.
  2. 2

Matt Serra vs. Georges St-Pierre I
    Serra vs. St-Pierre I
    Matt Serra | KO/TKO | Round 1
    2007 | UFC 69
Matt Serra hadn't had the best record in the UFC WW division. He won his title shot off of Season 4 of TUF in what was a controversial decision at that. Then to face the man who just destroyed the then WW GOAT? Serra had no chance....or did he?
  3. 3

BJ Penn vs. Frankie Edgar I
    Penn vs. Edgar I
    Frankie Edgar | Decision
    2010 | UFC 112
Nobody gave Edgar a chance in this bout, especially after the complete destruction of Diego Sanchez by Penn. Edgar fought valiantly and made it a close enough fight that he won a decision. It was the first time anyone believed Edgar could really hang with the LW elite.
  4. 4

    Forrest Griffin vs. Quinton Jackson
    Griffin vs. Jackson
    Forrest Griffin | Decision
    2008 | UFC 86
Forrest Griffin has had glimpses of greatness, and glimpses of a weak chin. Rampage was the premiere LHW in the world. He had the power to KO Forrest and was doing pretty well til that leg kick in the 2nd round. Forrest fought great and won a very close decision.
  5. 5

    Kimbo Slice vs. Seth Petruzelli
    Slice vs. Petruzelli
    Seth Petruzelli | KO/TKO | Round 1
    2008 | EliteXC
Petruzelli was a weightclass below, and wasn't even supposed to fight Kimbo Slice. He dropped him with a short jab with his back against the fence, and followed up with vicious GnP. Kimbo wasn't known as a huge MMA fighter so that's why it's not higher.
  6. 6

BJ Penn vs. Frankie Edgar II
    Penn vs. Edgar II
    Frankie Edgar | Decision
    2010 | UFC 118
Nobody believed Edgar would win against BJ Penn in their first fight, he proved them wrong. It was a controversial decision, so they did it again. Again, nobody believed Edgar would win, this time he dominated Penn all 5 rounds. People believed in him after that.
  7. 7

Forrest Griffin vs. Maurício Rua I
    Griffin vs. Rua I
    Forrest Griffin | Submission | Round 3
    2007 | UFC 76
Shogun was a monster in Pride. Forrest was just the dog that loved to fight. Forrest Griffin became one of the elite LHW's in the world when he submitted Shogun, albeit a unconditioned Shogun.
  8. 8

    Chuck Liddell vs. Rashad Evans
    Liddell vs. Evans
    Rashad Evans | KO/TKO | Round 2
    2008 | UFC 88
Liddell was trying to turn things around and get his title back with his exciting win over Wanderlei Silva. Rashad sent him packin with in my opinion the KO of the year.
  9. 9

    Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Mirko Filipović
    Gonzaga vs. Filipović
    Gabriel Gonzaga | KO/TKO | Round 1
    2007 | UFC 70
UFC was piping Cro Cop up. He beat a basic no name in his first fight, then got this fight for a potential title shot....Gonzaga held that hype train up, and in devestating fashion.
  10. 10

    Todd Duffee vs. Mike Russow
    Duffee vs. Russow
    Mike Russow | KO/TKO | Round 3
    2010 | UFC 114
Duffee looked like a Super Hero, and was dominating the whole fight. Russow came out of nowhere with that punch that caught Duffee, and then the HAMMERFIST FROM HELL!!
