I am a Purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu under Carlson Gracie Jr black belt Clint Crabtree. I have studied Jiu-jitsu since October of 2005 and have competed or coached wrestling since 1995. I teach chemistry and biology at Portage Central High School and have been solidifying my MMA game under the tutelage of Amir Khillah at Lightning Kicks since 2010.
I approach fighting with a very respectful but focused demeanor. I can often be found joking around with fans shortly before and after his competitions. Though a competitor to the core, I place sportsmanship above all else. My pride and determination can be seen in my aggressiveness and relentlessness, both of which have earned me numerous Fight of the Night awards.
A father of two, I believe it is important to be a great example for children. When I’m not training or competing, I can be found coaching my high school wrestling team, teaching martial arts to elementary school students, or spending time with my son and daughter.
