But this time-honored, respectable strategy was made a mockery of by Guida, tonight, in my humble opinion.
Guida refused to engage. He refused to come in and flurry and get out. He ran to the point of embarrassing himself. Even the ref had to issue him a waring, which I've never in my life seen before. The ref had a totally disgusted look on his face almost the entire fight and warmly congratulated Maynard afterwards.
I was just SO relieved that the judges didn't reward Guida for such a disgraceful performance. He really should be reprimanded by the UFC for conducting himself in such a cowardly fashion. The last time I saw such a ******** performance was between Ken Shamrock and Dan Severn in the early 1990's when Shamrock circled Dan and refused to fight. Complete ********!
Until Guida comes out and apologies and makes amends, I have lost all respect for him.

Maynard is a great fighter but must remember the game plan he used against me to win. Run for 4min & take me down at end of the rnd to win.
