I figured Tapology needs an official NFL thread, for all talks related to the NFL. Sick of seeing random topics on the Peyton Manning thread.
So please discuss the NFL here, thanks everyone.

Jelani Jenkins was a stud last year. Chris McClain played well and Misi is a solid player if he can stay healthy. I'm sure we'll use a 2nd or a 3rd on a mlb though.

For real, he picked the Dolphins over the Lions because the Lions only offered 58 million guaranteed.

Miami definately over paid for that dirty creep. Hopefully karma kicks in and he breaks a leg in pre-season.

Wow, I'm looking at the list of the 2016 QB UFAs and there's quite a lot of good ones:
Eli Manning
Ben Roethlisberger
Philip Rivers
Sam Bradford
Cam Newton
Andrew Luck
Russell Wilson
Nick Foles
How many of them are going to sign for 60 million? How many sign for a lot more? I can definitely see Cam Newton, Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson getting RIDICULOUS contracts, like 70-75 million guaranteed.
After all, a defensive tackle got 60. So what's a quarterback worth now?
EDIT: Or how about pass rushers?

Yeah, I'd say Cam, Luck, & Russell will be off of that list within months (I know at least Luck & Russell will, assuming Cam will) making it not as great as it appears. With Eli & Ben having their teams looking to lock them up also, we'd be down to Rivers, Bradford, & Foles. Bradford is almost guaranteed to become a UFA, while Rivers & Foles just need to play well next season to be assured of not reaching UFA status. This is a league where you basically have to draft your franchise QB unless you want to try to sign a top flight QB nearing the end of their career. Cutler is actually more available/attainable than anyone listed except Bradford, if a team feels froggy;

I think a big factor in Suh signing with Miami was there is no state tax in Florida. He gets to keep a lot more of his $$$.....And also with Suh it will make other players' jobs easier. With Suh getting double teamed it should really open up the linebackers to be able to make a lot of plays. It's still a ****load of money but I'm beginning to think Suh just might be worth it as long as he continues to stay healthy and refrains from kicking QB's in the balls and stomping on o-lineman.
Out of those QB's Bradford, Rivers and possibly Foles are the only ones that should get to test FA.

I think this might be the NFL's version of the whole Jake Beckham story in MMA.

I will concede that they did not prove anything beyond a shadow of a doubt, but the wording they used is probably for legal reasons. They are however private and can do anything they want to member teams and employees.
Also, they have cheated before AND one of the employees nick-name is the Deflater....
That's like Bisping being the 'the Eyepoker' or Jones being 'the Oblique Kicker'
EDIT: It is possible that Patriot's Employee has one of those Reebok prosthetic penis things

I'm a huge Patriots fan and I'm not saying that they are innocent, I don't really know the truth and none of us do. I just feel like the punishment doesn't fit the crime. Aaron Rodgers admitted to trying to over inflate balls and trying to sneak it past the refs...nothing was done. The Vikings/Panthers game there was video of them heating up footballs and it was no big deal, a slap on the wrist.

I'm sure Brady pressured the guys to get the footballs to be to his liking. "Guys, I need them soft, do your job and make sure they're soft!"
But I doubt he explicitly told them how to do it or what PSI it should be. I think the two guys went a bit rogue. There's no way Brady was like "steal the balls and run into the bathroom and do it FAST!" There's just no way it actually plays out like that.
Personally I think the Patriots organization should have been punished instead of singling out Brady. The organization is what enabled and allowed these guys to do what they did. Even if Belichik and Kraft didn't know the guys were doing it, it still happened under their watch and it was their responsibility. Hence I think Patriots team punishment is more appropriate.

Yeah I agree Greg, I highly doubt Brady said I want those balls at 11 psi but I could see him *****ing them out if he played a game with them at the higher end of the range.

I do agree with you about that, @poir, when I heard the punishment, I thought it was really overly harsh. Especially on Brady and the draft picks. The mill, no big deal, like pocket change to them.

Brady should have got 8 games. CHEATER. I knew it when he had that fake smile for that interview. Like they said on the news. Those two guys, equipment managers making maybe 30,000 a year. They will never have a job in the NFL again. Brady just continues to be the spoiled brat he is. The dude was an average player at Michigan too. He just got lucky with the coach and lots of surrounding talent. Montana, Bradshaw, Stabler and Elway are still the greatest QB's in history.
