I figured Tapology needs an official NFL thread, for all talks related to the NFL. Sick of seeing random topics on the Peyton Manning thread.

So please discuss the NFL here, thanks everyone.

Traded for 2 3rd round draft picks, what are your thoughts?

I dislike Eli Manning. That is all.

RG3 has alot to live up to. he was great at baylor and is very fast. i think he had the fastest time ever in the 40 for any qb. hope he works out for the redskins. that organization has been thru alot in the last 15 years.

that would be a great pick for the skins. Rex is just not putting up good numbers at all.

I hate Josh McDaniels! The bronco's would still have good WR's and good players if it weren't for him!

The only thing I'm following is my Seahawks QB situation but everything other than Flynn depends on what happens with Manning.

the NFL combine uses the most useless information when grading athletes as producers.  being good in gym or on track does not translate to being good on Football field.

You never know when you're going to have to line up against a 225 pounder and begin the snap on your back and have to bench press your opponent 40 times before you can stand up and block other defenders.

Well RG3 is like 2 inches taller than Vick so I think it's more impressive. He's also much more accurate than Vick.

Vick strongest arm since Favre circa 96-98.  Talking about how good a guy is before he takes a snap is pointless.  RGIII will never win a playoff game in Green Bay, Vick Did.

Hey I'm just stating facts, in Vick's two NCAA seasons he completed passes at 59.2 and 54%. RG3 passed at like 72% last year.

I know the stats, trust me.  Football is a bigger part of who I am than MMA is.  For every daunte culpepper and Cam Newton there is a Jamarcus Russell, Vince young and byron leftwich.  I am not sold on RGIII as an NFL QB because of the offense that he ran at Baylor.

I'm sold on RGIII because he's shown athleticism and he's shown great intangibles. Even if his pass numbers were bloated, he's still a mobile QB who could lead a team a la Vince Young.

EDIT: Only without the bust part.

Baylors spread offense is more conducive to statistical greatness than what Va Tech runs/ran.  So you have to look at those type of things as well.  Playing with a bad defense also will create greater statistics because your team is forced to open it up.  VA Tech when Vick was there were special teams and defensive powerhouses. Frank Beamer is arguably the greatest special teams tactician in the history of College Football.

think about it in terms of GAA Anik, some goalies have better stats because they play behind a far superior defense than others do.

Seahawks lock up Matt Flynn on a 3 year $26mil with $10mil guaranteed.

Didn't lowball, but didn't have to commit too much or give up anything in return. Great deal, and now we can focus on other areas in the draft. Awesome.

Miami is in a rough spot if Manning goes to the Broncos or Titans and Alex Smith goes back to the Niners.
