Moster Overrated & Underrated Fighters

We all know the greats, but who out there do you feel is being given more hype than their skills deserve? Who do you feel should be given a shot at the "big times" that isn't even on peoples radar but has the skills to hang at an elite level? Is there anyone you feel is being "protected" from bad match-ups because of their name? Are there fighters you question their reason for being "in the mix"? Should there be another veteran based TUF to bring out some of the skilled fighters that have a hard time developing a fan following?

Melendez hasn't proven much, i think he has the potential which is why he's rated higher in my LW rankings than most. He hasn't competed since April of 2010 and i still haven't heard of a potential opponent for him. If he wants to keep even a top 10 ranking he better find one soon But i was blown away when he resigned with SF for not a certain amount of bouts, but multiple YEARS! *** man. He had two wars with Thompson who was recently handled pretty easily by Kawajiri and Thompson should've never won the fight against JZ. They need to make the fight with Eddie Alvarez happen if he wants any claim to a top 5 ranking. Until then, he'll be fighting tomato cans in the division much like Nick Diaz.

Bobby Lashley, Brock Lesnar, Clay Guida, Mike Brown, Michael Bisping

@Skelliher, yeah Jake Shields is a very good fighter, don't get me wrong, I just think people are saying he can beat GSP, which is a joke. He did beat Okami, but Okami got SO much better after losing to Sonnen, and I think that fight might go differently today. He gets so much hype for beating Hendo, but he got destroyed in round one, then capitalized when Henderson gassed, it was a good performance, but he owes his victory to Henderson's gas tank. 

And great point about Nick Diaz, he wins, but he fights Scott Smiths, Cyborgs, and Zaromskis. He says **** like he should be higher ranked than GSP and Anderson, but he just sits back and fights guys who aren't even in the top 20.
