I think the guy looked impressive against Nelson, alright he gassed, but that is not uncommon to a HW, and manhandling Nelson is probably not easy, but he showed improved striking, and looked well rounded, I think he will be an interesting option in the HW division

what do u think?

Good fight and great showing for Fabricio. Glad he came back to UFC in fashion.

I think Werdum/Mir is a must...really no reason not too.

People always slept on Werdum. It's not surprising because he didn't dominate the non-UFC heavyweights, but he fought tough guys. I've been quietly cheering for Werdum for a long time. I remember back when he fought Nog in Pride, he impressed me there, and ever since then I've liked him a lot. After his UFC run I picked him over Bigfoot, Fedor (admittedly this was just because of the terrible odds) and picked him against The Reem (d'oh). I've had faith in him that he'd run through most non-UFC heavyweights and back in the big show in no time.

That didn't really work out perfectly, but now he's back, and in fashion.  I am happy.

I count myself as a long time Werdum fan. I am glad he's back in the big leagues. Mir/Velazquez seem like good options next since this match was supposed to have title contention ramifications, and those two are just a good fight away from getting the winner of JDS/Reem.

Also, Big Country is made of granite, that guy just won't get KO'd! Tough guy!

The US army should investigate Roys chin and made bunkers and tanks from it. Insane.

Also very impressed with Werdum. Though I still doubt it will be enough to beat the top standup hw's.

Werdum's standup looked impressive, I definitely underestimated him. He can be a serious contender, if he wins his next couple of fights.

Werdum looked very impressive last night. With that kind of standup to compliment his BJJ, he's gonna be a threat to anyone in the UFC.

That being said, does anyone want to see a third fight against Overeem?

It's going to be exciting watching him fight (again) in the UFC,   @Morris I agree with you, Mir is in a good moment, and Werdum looked great, a fight between the both of the will be awesome, and who ever wins will be a good contender for the title

Looked pretty good.  Throw me up on the board in favor of Mir/Werdum.  DO IT, UFC!

Werdum has really cleaned up his striking by miles. Props to Rafael Cordeiro for transforming this grapple master into a competent striker. I can't wait to find out who he's gonna be fighting next.
