Caged is a new mma tv drama thing on MTV. Ive seen the ads but I refused to watch it. Its not really about mma, its about random teenager's personal problems

that was a Highlight reel KO on the blonde haired kid though.  That kid was KTFO in his fight.  other than that the show is pretty lame

Teen Mom + Morons who trane UFC in their backyard + Other various dumb teenager drama + MTV's production crew = this show

This show is a joke. It seems like any kid who wrassled in high school and trains at a karate gym is a 'cagefighter.'

I think it's a stupid show. Bunch of 18-20 year olds (maybe younger) that think that their best career option is fighting. They were talking about one of their friends that signed a "pro" contract. I was like, "so he signed a contract to fight for $5000" BFD.

If its on MTV I refuse to watch it. That channel only produces crappy ass shows for 12-16 year olds.

12 minutes in, so far not very good. Looking forward to the fights at the end of the show but getting there seems to be such a drag.

I broke down and watched part of it the other day when it was on at 9am.. and it was pretty much what I expect from a MTV produced "reality" show.... dumb and a waste of time.

I watched a few minutes of one of their episodes, and couldn't tell if I was watching a show about MMA, or one of the countless "I'm 13 and I'm a mom" programs they have on that station.  Sucks.

To be completely honest with you guys, I absolutely hate "fads."  MMA has become a fad for our society, and it drives me nuts to see a bunch of wannabes faking like their all into it, when really, they're just following the crowd.  Yesterday it was baggy jeans, today it's MMA, tomorrow it'll be something different for most of these people.  MTV is just capitalizing on this new fad, and it makes the sport look bad.  I love martial arts, and have been involved in them for over 13 years now.  I've been watching UFC since before it was ever considered popular, and you could get them on PPV for less than twenty bucks.  I wore TapouT when it was just screen print on a t-shirt, or a cheesy patch on a jacket, and talked to Charles "Mask" Lewis regularly through E-mail conversations.  Now, I hardly ever wear TapouT because I don't want to associate with the poser crowd that primarily wears their **** now.  Also, it's not as appealing to say I compete in MMA because it feels like everyone and their brother's uncle does it now, or at least feels like they are going to some day.

I think this whole fad of MMA is really taking away from the sport, and hate to see MTV making another teenybop drama series to profit from it.  Mixed martial arts is a legitimate sport, like football or basketball, in my eyes.  However, I don't think some stupid show like this is going to help it progress in that direction to the masses.  Oh well.
