  • The openweight grand prix seemed like people enjoyed so lets do a tournament with each weight class starting with the bantamweights to LW, because of the short history of the BW and FW divisions Heres what I have right now:
  • BJ Penn
  • Frankie Edgar
  • Takanori Gomi
  • Shinya Aoki
  • Jens Pulver
  • Sean Sherk
  • Gilbert Melendez
  • Joachim Hansen
  • Jose Aldo
  • Urijah Faber
  • Dominick Cruz
  • Miguel Torres
  • Kid Yamamoto
  • Hatsu Hioki
  • Masakatsu Ueda
  • Joseph Benavidez

As always open to changes and additions of figthers

how could you possibly pick anyone other than cruz? The BW division hasn't even existed long enough for goat discussion imho

@buffalo makes a good point, maybe we should just start this with 155?

I was thinking doing 135-155 as 1 tournament would probably be better because of the short history of the smaller weight classes...Then you can at least get Cruz, Kid, Torres, Faber and Aldo in there

Why not do Strawweight, Flyweight, Bantamweight, and Featherweight as one, considering that 155 is a division that has plenty of great fighters as it is. Between the 4 lowest weight classes we should be able to find 16 or so guys.
Benavidez, Cruz, Faber, Aldo, Torres, etc.

Benavidez at 16? He's already fought and crushed "#9" Torres. Otherwise I don't have any comments...other then who's the Hansen nuthugger who downvoted me and Beast lol?

He had beaten Torres, but we are talking about fighters who are in the prime of their careers.

Torres is higher on the p4p all time ranking as of now I think.
