I hope they do Grasso Val 3. Probably becomes a pickem and that's +EV on Grasso at this point imo.

Ian Garry is not interested in fighting MVP. Quote from MMAJunkie:

Which lower ranked fighter did Garry give a shot? He was in 13 and Magny at 11 when they fought. He was 10th and Neal at number 8 when they fought. So how is he now in the 'only higher ranked fighters pls' column? He only fights up and never down?

Looks like ducking to me and I'm not one to hate on Garry, I don't give a crap about his personal life and all that but he's already fought up twice and never down. Time to give back.

@gliese58i I disagree. He's a prospect climbing the ladder. He has no reason to fight below him since he's on an undefeated streak. Had he lost one of these fights then fighting under makes sense.

You can look at it different ways of course. From my perspective Neal and Neil already did him a solid fighting down when he had yet to beat anyone. Of course the UFC likely put a lot of pressure on them to do so. I don't think Garry has put in his community service.
I'm under no illusion that the UFC treats fighters equally or fairly but I think Garry is taking a rather strong stance here for someone that never fought down even once. It's not like MVP is some scrub or that it wouldn't be an interesting fight.

I guess I prefer the Sandhagens of the UFC, the fighters that don't give a **** about who they fight who just want to face the best. I think Garry made a cold risk assessment of fighting MVP and decided it was not worth the risk reward ratio. Is a young prospect supposed to be afraid of a 36 year old veteran? If Garry is the best welterweight in the world he should want to make a name off MVP no?

Like I said I really don't care about that stuff. I find the whole thing juvenile, calling Ian a cuck etc. Even if he is I wouldn't care, let consenting adults do what they want, especially in a marriage situation. To me it's more of an embarassment on the part of anyone aping those comments than a slight on Ian.

No one is confirmed on but the ufc matchmakers were in attendance for tuff-n-uff on Friday. I imagine hassanzada gets another dwcs shot (mick was very impressed even tho he looked terrible - fight was fun tho) and maybe the kyrgyz who won as well. I’m sure ray waters is also on their radar now but he will need another fight most likely
