First of all, thanks for creating this thread. I find it extremely useful.

Do you have any scoop on the recent UFC signing, Oumar Sy? Also, has Shamil Musaev already been signed? I can't find any info on him.

Thanks! I’m glad you enjoy it, that was the whole purpose of me creating it. Sy had to get surgery which is delaying his debut. As for musaev, he was in talks with the ufc but those fizzled. Last I heard he had signed with pfl for their next season

Nina drama said she got Dana’s permission to leak big fight news at 8:50 pm est. I will update this once it’s announced, I have a feeling it will be arman vs Charles, but I really hope it’s more ufc 300 fights

I have a random question about inactive fighters that are still on the roster.  I am looking at 3 examples - Ryan Hall / Chris Gruetzemacher / Gregor Gillespie.  All 3 of these guys are in their late 30s but still show up on the roster even though they all haven't fought since 2021.  Is the UFC just waiting for them to retire?  Why not just remove them from the  active roster?  I know this isn't news but I'm just curious.

I’m pretty sure you do get removed from the roster for inactivity. They are still listed on the Wikipedia page of ufc fighters (where I’m assuming you looked at the roster) but I remember the roster watch tweeting out Gregor getting “cut” like a year ago & he told everyone on ig that he’s still in the ufc. I think the limit before the get “removed” is 2 years but I could be wrong

I checked the Wiki page and also the UFC website and all guys still show as 'active'.  I was just curious if the UFC still keeps them on active status to avoid paying a severance or something of that nature.  Thanks for clarifying!

@jstl yeah full acl tear. That’s why he pulled out of his most recently booked fight. I think he said nearly a full year of recovery is needed

Murad ramazanov’s signing to pfl is now official after being rumored the last few weeks. Still no word on what weight class he will fight in. Really good signing by pfl

Paige VanZant may sign with PFL apparently.  I wonder if the whole PFLW thing will mean all their women's mma will be held on separate shows.

I know Dakota is a free agent right now, but that would make me think they might be looking to do Ditcheva vs VanZant. Ditcheva would win, but it would definitely raise her stock and be a good introduction into the standard PFL roster from the PFL Europe circuit.
