Even the gomis signing is a little pre-emptive too imo. He dominated his last fight but showed he’s still not totally ufc ready yet. He’s gonna be a problem but not right now imo

Lmao they're tryna give a few guys easy wins to build them back up and punish the people who beat the contender series debutants. Also wdym "only" 12 fights? The French commission can't do **** about fighters with more than like 5 fights if I'm not mistaken. And if they can they need to **** off. If you have 12 fights you can fight ANYONE. At that point the amount of fights shouldn't matter.
Amount of wins is a really bad way to prevent mismatches since you can still guys who are 4-0 fighting people who are 1-2. What if they have someone like Mousasi or Shlemenko in there? They gonna give them some regional scene can like Tony Lopez instead of someone like Johnny Eblen cause he only has 12 fights to the 60+ of theirs? I'm all for preventing mismatches but that's just not the way lol

I also just found out Azamat Murzakanov was cut from the UFC roster November 5th, 2019 due to failed USADA drug test.
His first fight should've been on the Kevin Lee vs Michael Chiesa.

Yeah but they don’t really cut 0-1 people unless they fail a drug test or something; pretty rare. Zalal was probably on the last fight of his contract and that’s why he got cut

Yeah now you say last fight on contract makes sense didn't think about it like that, it's also crazy how many of these dudes low-key pop for roids and we never know.
