Definitely Gane.

Now Gane vs Curtis Blaydes, that's an interesting stylistic matchup. I think Aspinall has physical attributes to stack up with any fighter in the world, kind of like Ngannou at the beginning, but I'm not sold on him being able to hang skill to skill just yet with the Blaydes and Ganes of heavyweight. Fortunately for Aspinall HW is such a skill-less division so he's probably like #4 at HW on his worst day just based on his physical talent.

Yeah that's very true lol. But if Gane took it and won after his Tuivasa fight it would really cement him as the only contender in the division because it would show he shored up his wrestling defense issue.

It's a gamble, but if he can't be comfortable fighting Blaydes I don't see him beating Ngannou.

Gane's striking is properly rated, he's an excellent technician, but like y'all pointed out he has major holes in his grappling. I think I'd probably pick Aspinall to sub Cyril. people forget this, but Tom started out in bjj, he's been doing it since he was a kid. after seeing Gane get controlled like that by Ngannou, I think Aspinall would find a sub off the top, Volkov fight-esque. either way that would be an amazing fight. I'd love to see it down the line

Yeah I like him too but he has really fallen off of a cliff these past few years. That middleweight journey didn’t end well either; he had a close fight with jotko and then was beating turman before that armbar. He was probably gonna win vs shamil too but I think he loses his job here
