*Official Event Suggestion Thread*

Yo, 

I've posted similar things in random topics over the last few months, but I wanted to start a thread to keep it somewhat organized. I'm always on the lookout for new events to enter into the database for you guys to make picks on, as long as I can get reasonably accurate fight cards/updates as well as reasonably prompt results. 

Wake, R1zia, and Soccerkick are constantly commenting on my profile page with updates to upcoming regional cards, which is awesome. Feel free to hit me up there as well, but try to keep comments on my profile page related to changes or updates you've found to cards we've already got in the system. This thread is the spot for suggestions for events we don't currently have in the system. 

General Rules:

1) Post any upcoming fight cards you're interested in making picks for, excluding Asian events like Deep, Shooto, and Pancrase. We're still figuring out the logistics of covering that market in greater depth. 

2) Try to keep suggestions to regional cards coming up within the next month, so suggestions in December should concentrate on regional December and January cards. 

3) Don't bother posting events you've seen on the Sherdog and MMA.com databases, as I've likely seen them as well and they're either in the planner or aren't being considered. This thread is for the events that might fall through the crack. Maybe you found it on a site with good regional coverage or on a specific regional promotion's website. 

4) If possible, post as much info as you can find on the card, including links to where you found the info.

Let's see what you guys can dig up to make my job easier (or harder, depending on how you look at it.)

I was gonna ask for a FloripaFight event from Brazil but even as a Brazilian I had trouble finding some of the guys. I feel your pain now.

@Legz: I'm currently looking into the Brazil market. In terms of events we're comfortable covering based on the availability of info, it's looking like you can look forward to seeing all future Amazon Forest Combat and Jungle Fight shows. We're also looking into Pink Fight and Nitrix, but if you ever come across info that could help us regarding upcoming Brazilian cards, go ahead and post it.

As for Pancrase, it's looking like I'll have that one in today. We were going to start our Pancrase coverage beginning with Progress Tour 4 in April, but what the hell, you've convinced me to get another card in there for this weekend.

It's the biggest promotion in Washington state, and you can get the results live as you watch.  Definitely a better option than a lot of these ones that don't broadcast live and we can never find results for.  Fightflixx.com is usually replaying an older event they had on their UStream channel for those who want to see some fights.

They're fed fighters from the WA MMA schools: Jeff Hougland's, Lyle Beerbohm's, Ivan Salaverry's, Maurice Smith's, Matt Hume's AMC Pankration, and other prominent MMA schools from Seattle to Spokane.  Usually, half the bouts are ammy's and half pro.

I can post results for the MCC (Midwest Cage Championship) fights here in des moines iowa. I pretty much attend every event. plus they take forever to post the results. Just throwing that out.

So I found out that there is a local ammy event in the town I live in NY on November 10th. There isn't a card yet set up, so you might want to keep an eye on it if you think it would be worth watching over. This is the second MMA event that I know of that has happened since MMA has been banned in NY state. The promition is called Kaged Kombat.

EDIT: For those who are curious. There is a loophole found that allows for amature MMA events to be allowed in NY so promotions are starting to set of ammy MMA events in NY (mostly in the Capital region for now)

Sounds, good. I hear about newer events on our local news channel so I'll update if they say anything further about it.

I think this event is worth a look. It features world Muay Thai champ Miriam Nakamoto who's undefeated (15-0) in her career. It's always good to see high-profile 'single discipline' fighters crossing over to MMA. Also, Strikeforce vet Lucas Gamaza.

The event is actually called "Submissions 2". Art of Submission is a film that they're releasing a week after the event, which sounds pretty intriguing and is supposed to have a lot of big names in it.

Nice card @Legz. Here's another solid card from V3Fights with 5 title fights and plenty of amateur prospects. I think V3 is up there with Reno Combat in terms of relevancy and production values.

I should be going to this as it's 15 minutes from where I live and not much MMA comes through my city. But I feel like $75 is high as hell for the bouts they have listed so far. If it was just me I would jump on it but wifey want to go too.
