Slim might get signed to the ufc now since mick just saw that. His striking defense is really bad but he’s got a clean jab. He’s a strong, atheltic wrestler at heavyweight which is enough to beat a lot of the cans. He could be a good addition

It's definitely a smart way to get good prospects to your gym tho. I think more wealthy coaches should start doing that. Only James Krause and Uriah Faber have really done that here.

Jorge Masvidal kind of has done that, but he's not an owner of a gym or a coach really. I think people like Chris Weidman and Wonderboy should create a promotion in their respective regions with some of the gyms that they are building rn.

I don't think Weidman is building anyone specific, but he has started training with fighters and becoming a head coach. Wonderboy has 1 or 2 proteges that are decent

Masvidal is good at finding people that have a similar upbringing and mindset as him that have talent. I think having that hunger to be successful makes fighters better than their actual skillset. In regards to Bo Nickal, I believe he just decided to train at ATT, and became close with Masvidal b/c Masvidal is one of the best strikers in the UFC and Bo Nickal is one of the best collegiate wrestlers of all time, so they worked with each other a lot
