What kind of question is this? Mirko. Not only is he a HW to Jan's LHW, but his is kind of similar to Thiago Santos' only that it's 10 times better and more refined.

Just some random late night thought hahaha. I really like Mirko, one o my fav of all time. I was Just thinking about the fantasy match ups envolving Mirko with actuals HW and LHW. Againts Jan i think he would have a chance, but dont know about the ranked contenders, like Rakic, Jiri and maybe Ankalaev. Anyway, as i said, just remebering about Mirko's time on UFC, he could've done so much more, unfortnuly he lost to a buch of đŸ’©

Jan fought as a heavy and mirko should have been a lhw.
Id pick mirko pride era to win, however jan has better boxing and grappling.

Jan wins and if you think cro cop wins you just blinded by nostalgia, the game evolve so much in 15 years. When MMA as we know it is like 30 year old. Btw GSP and Silva won’t be ranked in the modern UFC

GSP fought in 3 separate generations of fighters, maybe he wouldn't be a champ but he for sure would be ranked

People will dislike this post but modern day UFC fighter are so much better than Pride fight. It just objectively true and if you disagree then you don't know what your looking at. I love watching all Pride video ,but I'm not going to act like the sport is not getting better.

Also Jan Blahovics is a great fighter, He's a champion in the UFC, Don't discredit him, Dude still is mad under rated. Jan and Cro Cop also be close in size. Cro Cop is like 1-7 in America but is undefatably in Japan for strange reasonđŸ€”

Jan would KO any version of Cro Cop easily and that a facts. He can’t withstand some legadary polish power

Damian, the 420 is rotting your brain.

The HW division singlehandedly disproves the "new generation" of fighters being better than the previous one. Arlovski has managed to stay relevant still, Werdum won the belt, Reem remained as a staple of the top 10 and top 5 despite losing his roids, etc.

The overall level of fighters is higher - meaning that guys like Sammy Morgan and David Mitchell would eat **** harder than they did back in the day, but the very best fighters would still remain close to, if not exactly at the level they were during their peak.

Frank Shamrock, Miletich and Coleman not being top 5 or even top 10 guys nowadays? Maybe so, but you're on what Jones is having if you think GSP and Anderson wouldn't be top 3.

Its true, we cannot denied that the level of competition is way higher nowadays. Like, there is a lot of legit non ranked fighters in each division and i much more dif to climb the rankings (unless u have Dana White privilege). But still, the goats like GSP and Anderson at their primes would still be a problem. Its exaclty that, because these guys were way ahead for theirs times. Anyway, im not trying to discretid Jan (btw i always knew that he would destroy Izzy or any other guy from MW), he is great! But yeah, as a fan, Mirko ALL DAY! Hahaha

Honestly I rank prime GSP 8th behind Michael Chiesa and Above Neil Magny

And I rank prime Silva around 10th between Kelven Gastulum and Uriah Hall in they're were to fight in there respective division now a day. I think I am being Hyperbolic, But my point still stand. Today fighter are way better then past fighter.

And before you call me a hater, Anderson Silva is my favourte fighter and I respect the hell of GSP

In unfair to use Arloski as a example, He's only win vs a guy who belong in the UFC is Tanner Boser in 6 years, And even still, Tanner Boser ain't that good. The last win where he beat some one who belongs in the UFC at the time  is Travis Brown in May of 2015, And Overeem is so good, He's the most techincal heavyweight and he's only getting better. And Werdum won the belt 6 year ago, He was in his prime. All your example aren't good

All you people need to handle the truth, The Game just gets better, And last point. Any version of Fedor won't be rank at heavyweight

Anderson silva in 2011 would murder both uriah and kg in the same night. Especially uriah. Uriah would be put in a coma for a year aha. The game has evolved but it hasnt evolved that rapidly. I see kamaru beating gsp or colby but no one else. Anderson and gsp are so much ahead of most guys. Maybe the top 10 from back then is much worse but certainly not prime gsp and anderson ahah no way

Werdum's prime was not when he was 38
At least definitely not his athletic prime
I'd say GSP would still be going strong but Anderson benefited a lot from people having abysmal boxing, boxing isn't good by any means now days but its a lot better then when Silva ruled

CroCop might have been even better than he actually was at 205.

Same goes for Fedor.
