Alright folks,

As you might know I'm Tapology Boxing editor. I know the majority of you guys are here for MMA, so was I originally. But for the last year or 2 there is a little more interest in Boxing on the site.

So here's a place to talk boxing.

Eddie Hearn on The MMA Hour said Wilder vs Joshua is aiming for around January 2024.

Saudi's more than likely funding it.

If Anthony Joshua faces Deontay Wilder, I predict that Joshua will win by knockout and it will be the last time we ever see Wilder compete in professional boxing.

I'm leaning Wilder by KO to be completely honest. Not impressed with Joshua 1 bit.

I think Tyson Fury broke Deontay Wilder psychologically in their first fight when he got up from the knockdown in the 12th round, and then destroyed him in their rematch, and I don't think he will ever recover from that.

Now that he's been knocked out by both of them relatively recently, I'd be curious to hear Robert Helenius's prediction for that fight.

OK, I see a lot of people's opinions on the Usyk low blow but I want to know the one that counts: What's your take, Mikey?

Amanda Serrano vs Danila Ramos on October 27 in a 12x3 fight.  Not for undisputed though as it looks like the WBC refuses to sanction it.

I am glad that women's boxing is finally adopting 3-minute rounds and 12-round championship fights like the men.

I also wasn't a fan of women's world championship fights being only 10 rounds.

Well Serrano will go in there and fight regardless.  Not sure about her opponent.  Don't know much about her but since she's just a mandatory, she's likely not a threat

Noticed that really none of the Olympic Boxing tournaments are up so I'm probably going to start going through a few of those, and maybe some other major events like the IBA World Championships.  Already got the 2020 Olympics all up

Been a minute...

Not been posting here for a little while. Had some things going on at home with family so wasn't here as much.
I'll try and start posting regular again as it would be a shame to give up now. Especially after all the time I put in trying to get the boxing going on this site. About that gotta give some credit to Cody and Priscilla, the new boxing editors. After I stepped down from covering everything boxing related on Tapology I was a little bit worried that things would just stop or coverage not be as extensive.  But both of you have picked up from where I left and if anything the coverage has gotten better and more extensive. Which makes me happy because, like I said, I put hours upon hours of time and effort in and it's great to see it continued.
I like that you're adding the Olympics Cody I think that's cool!!! I noticed that you have picked up even more regions recently which I also like. I seen a couple of regions being left out (Australia, South America, Caribbean) I was adding some of the bigger events from those regions mainly because it drives my OCD brain mad when I see gaps in the boxers fight records!!!

Anyway after a great year so far and an excellent summer with Bud Crawford and Naoya Inoue putting on all time great performances there's a little bit of a lull.  There is Canelo vs Charlo which I am really intrigued by, I am giving Charlo a really good shot at winning. Just depends on what Charlo shows up. If its Charlo who 1st faced Castano and he lays against the ropes with long periods of inactivity Canelo likely takes full advantage and beats him up pretty bad. But if the Charlo from the Castano rematch shows up, a lot more active and throwing extremely hard, fast, hurtful fight ending counters I think he could pull it off!

Anyone who has been here a while should know that I am hyped for next week's traditional midweek daft o'clock Japanese special featuring the best little guys on the planet!!!! Kenshiro is a P4P talent and Co Main Junto Nakatani may just be the next Japanese P4P little guy, he's already a 2 weight World Champion and I think he's the ability and size to win titles in another 2 weight classes!!!

Not very interested in the "Super" fight between Fury and Ngannou!!!! Personally I think Fury should be stripped of his Title as he's quite blatantly avoiding Usyk.  I don't care if he wants to box Francis or Jon Jones for millions just don't hold up the entire Heavyweight division while doing so.
Anyway, praying on Francis by decapitation!!!!!

Waiting on some big fight announced by the end of the Year. Sounds like we are getting Crawford Spence 2, I think Bud destroys him again but who knows? Maybe the weight will make all the difference?  Naoya Inoue is going to attempt to unify his 2nd weight class most likely in December and even more likely he wins by sleeping another poor guy!!! PBC are due to announce the end of year schedule soon, I'm hearing we get David Benavidez vs Demetrius Andrade, Tank Davis vs Pitbull Cruz and possibly Caleb Plant vs Jermall Charlo?
Devin Haney vs Regis Prograis is all but officially official for December. I cannot bring myself to like Haney despite him being a great pure boxer. On the Top Rank side Hopefully someone steps up to face Shakur, also hearing Teofimo vs Jose Ramirez may be a thing.

Oh yeah, Usyk was definitely hit low!!!  Maybe not directly on the nuts but it was low. The rules are anything below the belt, on the hips, anywhere on the protector. All illegal.  Dubois and Ole Fish Eyes Warren are deflecting from the fact that Dubois was finished by a jab and quit again in his biggest fight.

@Mikey1903

Firstly, thanks for all the work you do and have done for the site to bring boxing to Tapology! I spend way more time on here than I do any other site so if it wasn't for your work then I wouldn't know **** about boxing! I mean, I don't know **** about boxing but I at least know the fundamentals such as "beware the travelling Mexican with the funky record!!!" thanks to you! Credit as well to
@ccollins44
and @PriscillaMello for helping to carry on what is often a thankless job alongside you!

Secondly, I've got a question about the below the belt rule. You've made it clear that anything below the belt line is illegal but are there any rules about how high a boxer is allowed to wear their shorts? I've just wondered as I've seen some boxers wear their shorts where their belt line and slightly padded bit is practically covering their all of their ribs. I think an example of what I mean is comparing the relatively height belt line of Tyson Fury to the lower belt line of Andy Ruiz Jr. I was just wondering if there's any particular guidelines on this?

Technically by rule I believe the shorts are supposed to top out at the naval so if the shorts drift too high the ref is supposed to adjust his calls accordingly
