Rodriguez is a decent welterweight contender. He's old at 34, but holds an excellent record of 14-2 (3-1 UFC).
He handily beat Mike Perry (#36) to a decision last Saturday. Solid boxing skills, and real toughness,

WHO WILL D-ROD FIGHT NEXT?
1. Tyron Woodley (#10) - 38 years old, 0-4 in his last 4 fights, if T-Wood stays in the UFC he will definitely fight down in the rankings. Stylistically, I love this fight. A tough striker in D-Rod versus a heavy-handed, strong bodied veteran on his way out. If Woodley fights like he did versus Luque (#6), they can put on a super-exciting performance. Will the UFC make this fight?

2. Ponzinibbio - Unceremoniously welcomed back into the UFC versus Li Jingliang in January, Gente Boa was KO'd  quick in his return fight. He's 34, but will definitely fight again to see if he can get his mojo back. Outside the official rankings, Ponz is the perfect matchup for Rodriguez. To strikers who have potential to crack the Top 15. Do you agree?

3. Khaos Williams (#34) - A young (27) prospect, 2-1 in the UFC, he lost his last fight to Michel Pereira (#29) in December. With Pereira on the brink of a place in the Top 15 (and an upcoming rumored bout against Robbie Lawler), Khaos too is at that level, hovering one of two fights away from the rankings. Khaos vs D-Rod would be the perfect matchup between two ghetto kids, black vs hispanic, to see who will earn the Top 15 shot next. Is this the fight to make?
