Here's one for you to consider Mikey... Don King paid $2 Million last year to promote and to stage a WBA Regular World Heavyweight Title Bout plus Undercard Event between his fighter, Interim WBA Regular Belt Holder Trevor Bryan and current WBA Regular World Heavyweight Champion 🤔🤣🤣 Mahmoud Charr and the Split of the money was to be a percentage cut of 75 / 25 in Charr's favour as Champion... However, as per an article on the Boxing Scene Website, that is very well written I must say, because the bout between Charr and Bryan is currently Not in a position to take place, due to apparent Visa Issues at Charr's end, caused by Don King Not signing off the correct Contract Papers and sending them over to Charr's Team, so that Charr could get the correct Visa to travel to the USA and fight, King and his Promotional Company, along with his lawyer have been able to convince the WBA to remove Charr as Champion and place him as a 'Champion in Recess', (I mean come on 🤔) and the WBA have informed King that his purse bid of $2 Million, that he overpaid to stage the fight and event is no longer relevant... Amazing News for Don King... I wonder how much Trevor Bryan and Bermane Stiverne will actually be paid for tonight's contest, which I may add is for an apparent version of a World Heavyweight Title... I would be surprised if either fighter is making $250'000 each... That's why it is a PPV Boxing Event... That's why Manny Charr didn't receive his contract... Because Don King knew that Charr's attendance would ultimately cost him a lot of $$$🤓💵🤑🤔🥊👊👍

Further news courtesy of decisions by the World Boxing Association from a short time ago... Manny Pacquiao is no longer the WBA 'Super' Welterweight Champion... He is another Champion who has been made 'Champion in Recess' for Not defending the title he Won from Keith Thurman in July 2019...Yordenis Ugas has therefore officially been upgraded from their Regular Champion to 'Super' Champion in Manny's place... Interesting and means that Manny will have to face Ugas if he wants his Belt back!! Shumenov the Cruiserweight has also had the same thing happen to him too, due to large inactivity... The WBA obviously want some Title money in... ASAP 🤑🤓🤔🥊👊👍

Yeah Jay I read that story too. Nothing surprising when it comes to that shadester!!! I can't believe boxers still get involved with that *******!!
THE WBA are just as bad!!! They have 4 or 5 Champions in every division! Whether it's Super, Regular, Gold, Interim, etc. Honestly look at their rankings on their website, it's a joke!!!!
People say that the UFC rankings are ****, go have a look at the WBA!!!!
Shumenov was meant to be co headline for this event! He has had 1 fight since 2016!!! Vs a jobber in Kazakhstan. I also didn't understand why the WBA elevated Ryad Merhy to WBA Champion when he has a loss to Arsen Goulamirian, the WBA Super Champion!!! Jeezus Christ!!!!

As for Manny, I actually agree with that 1. He won the belt in 2019 and was in legit talks to face Conor Mcgregor for the WBA World Title in the summer!! The WBA would have sanctioned that! Obviously Poirier put an end to that ********! So Mannys next move, fight Lightweight Ryan Garcia in an exhibition!!!?? Yeah, strip him. I like Yordenis Ugas too, so he deserves the bump. He will actually fight no. 1 contenders

Well said across all points Mikey... I especially like the factual details you point out regarding Manny Pacquiao... I actually would like to see Manny fight Ugas, because Ugas is a Cuban and a World Class Boxer... I would still expect Manny to Win, but I would expect Ugas to be able to put up quite the challenge, just like he did with Shaun Porter the other year, when Porter was the WBC Welterweight Champion... 🤔🥊👊👍... These days, Manny is more about vast sums of money, than he his for fighting for Titles, he just knows that with World Championship Belts comes a vast amount of money 🏆🤑🤔🥊👊👍

@JayHyde3858

The WBA has become an absolute joke! If I'm not mistaken (which I may well be as the belts are impossible to keep track of), in the Lopez VS Lomachenko title fight, Lopez won 2 WBA belts (one was their "Franchise Championship belt" not I'm 100% what the other one was off the top of my head) but didn't win their "proper" belt ("proper" is not an actual belt, I'm just using that term to describe the main Championship belt which I don't even know what they call anymore) as they had relegated Lomachenko down to one of their other belts and gave Devin Haney his old one so technically Devin Haney is their Lightweight World Champion so that belt wasn't on the line in that fight. Obviously, it's in the WBA's interests to have as many "World Champions" as possible in order to make money through having loads of "World Title" fights. I swear if I paid them enough, the WBA would just make up another belt and crown me as a champion.

I think Ugas would beat Manny, I also think Ugas was robbed vs Porter!!!
I wouldn't be surpised if Manny forgot about the belts and made a fight with Mikey Garcia

Stephen, thats the WBC you're thinking about with the Loma, Lopez, Haney situation.
WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO they are all as bad as each other, well the WBA is the worst with their 10 World Champions in every division!  But they're all guilty of ********!  They just want the sanctioning fees!

@Mikey1903

Thanks for the correction as that's exactly what I'm talking about! I find it hard enough to keep up with which fighters have which bodies belts, let alone what specific belts they have! It's absolutely ridiculous! I only used the Lopez VS Lomachenko one as an example as that was one of the simpler cases, there are other situations with other fighters that are more complex that I don't understand at all and wont attempt to either as I don't want to risk having a stroke! It's ridiculous! I don't care about the belts anymore, I just make up my own mind who I think the champion in each division is.

Yeah, you're best off forgetting about the belts. Every winner of a fight gets a belt it seems! I only pay attention because I am a stats nerd! I spend a lot of time looking at rankings, fixture lists, past events! So I can't help but pay attention to the rankings!!! Ha
It drives me up the wall tho!!
The most accurate ranking in boxing is the Ring Magazine or the Transnational boxing ratings
https://www.tbrb.org/

They are both unbiased and pretty accurate, of course ranks are always subjective. ESPN have decent rankings, but they do sometimes favour Top Rank boxers because of ESPN, for example they have Bud Crawford no. 1 P4P when clearly at the moment it's Canelo.
BoxRec ranks are wierd because they have an algorithm that throws up very strange results, fir example they have Wilder 5th  Alexander Povetkin 8th P4P!!!! But consensus top 3 Inoue outside the top 20!?!?!

@Mikey1903

Yeah, the BoxRec ones are almost random lol. I think their algorithm works on some kind of points based system but I'm not 100% sure.

Again, no worries bud
Yup, it was time for Stiverne to retire in 2017 when Deontay Wilder absolutely melted him inside 1 minute!!!

The fact that he had 1 fight since then, another KO loss! Yet he is apparently a fit contender for a World Title is nuts!!! Ha Anyway I'm not getting started with that  belt nonsense again, for now anyway! I'll have another rant in a month or so!

Yeah, the WBA Regular Heavyweight Title!!!
But Anthony Joshua is the WBA "Super' Heavyweight Champion and Robert Helenius is THE WBA" Gold" Champion and Agit Kabayel is the WBA Inter Continental Champion. Oh now Trevor Bryan is no longer the WBA Interim Heavyweight Champion so there's a new World Championship belt up for grabs!
Oh and almost forgot, how could I!!??? Manuel Charr(no fights since 2017!) is now the WBA Regular Champion in Recess!!!!

So that’s 4 “champions” at one weight class even though we all know Joshua would smoke the rest of them all on the same night. Cool

As far as I'm concerned, if I asked someone who they thought the best Heavyweight boxer was the only 2 acceptable answers are either Fury or Joshua. I'll get my prediction in early and say if that fight happens, I'll back Fury to win it via decision.

@FistyMcKickerChoke

That's also very possible. If Fury is to win by KO, it would be in the 2nd half of the fight in my opinion. I can see this one playing out similar to the Fury VS Klitschko fight, with Fury dancing around Joshua. I think Fury would get more satisfaction out of humiliating Joshua by showboating and getting a comfortable UD win rather than knocking him out. Klitschko certainly didn't seem like the same fighter mentally after being toyed with by Fury and I think Fury would want to have the same effect on Joshua.

Can't wait to see all the Fury bandwagoners after Joshua KO's him!

A couple of years ago you couldn't pay someone to be a Tyson Fury fan!!! Now, after whooping on the most unskilled Heavyweight Champion in 100 years!! He's the best ever!?? Ha

Sorry guys, not having a go at you, just the fair weather nature of the fans! It's so true, 1 day they love you the next they hate you, then they love you again!!! Haha
