Weird stuff like that has happened in MMA before. Matt Horwich beat Thales Leites by RNC in a fight and CC got CCed by Gonzaga. Just a few examples of unexpected actions within fights.

Focused striking has some beautiful stuff you won't see in mma.
Same is true of grappling, I don't watch much but see its merit.
Just going along and being another mma is a mistake at least do custom Panc/pank/pance? rules matches!
