@Fisty Baldwin did. She was hired to replace union labour because, being the garden variety leftist hypocrite he is he didn't want to pay the premium/ deal with the compliance that union labour incurs. So he brown-paper-bagged some munted emo ********  and got  somebody killed instead.

@adrn not really. I'm pretty sure if I smoked enough bath salts I'd be supremely confident that I'd beat Francis Ngannou.

If it's grounded confidence, then yes. A lot of the best athletes have extreme belief in themselves; Ali, Ronaldo, Messi, Zlatan, Kobe, etc. but then there's guys like Kevin Lee... 

Anyway, if you think the armourer was bad, this is Sarah--the chief health and safety officer he hired, sent out to burger king to get lunch for the crew. One can hardly blame her for turning up at a Mcdonalds.

If you re not confident you are not gonna fight to the best of your abilities. Kevin lee has holes in his brain cmon thats a medical condition man

Confidence is a fine line in my opinion, if you're too confident you can be labelled ****y, not confident enough and you're labelled scared. In reality if you or your opponent don't let your confidence effect preparations it doesn't matter that much. Could get you on the right/wrong side of a youtube video though. 

There is confidence and then there is delusion 

I'll throw an example myself

From my observations there are multiple types of confidence:

Real, consciouss one, when fighter is sure of his capabilities, but acknowledge the dangers someone else is bringing in (Poirier, Jan for example)

Fake, noisy - when fighter is trying to have an influence on an opponent before the fight, by screaming, being seen (Conor, Ion Cutelaba)

Reckless - (Paddy, Kevin Lee)

I think list goes on, but another thing I would like to point out, that I believe Conor has lost his confidence after first Poirier fight. That press conference before trilogy has shown that his skills in verbally shutting someone down have been lowered. He used to be so real and had flow with it, which I do not see now. Thats why I would put him in fake ones. 

What types of confidence do you see aswell?

It's really up to the person and the problem when it comes to confidence.
The wonderful gentlemen mentioned and not confident they are hyped.
When you come in with confidence and your body is set to go you will perform great.
Does it mean you can win against a better opponent only if they are not ready to go.
I've often walked up to a massive task and said **** or I don't think I can do this.
And then smashed it or lifted it moved beaten it being genuinely suprised.
