i'll pick alcantara here, he looked good against lamas and won the fight in brazil without any problems, this might end up in a stand up fight because both fighters have good tdd and i favor yuri in such a fight.

A very tough fight for Omigawa, but we'll see if Alcantara is for real.

Alcantara looked pretty good in his last fight. I think he'll be too long and athletic for Omigawa.

Omigawa hasn't had the best of UFC careers, but he hasn't been finished inside the octagon either

Omigawa is a little better everywhere when it comes to technique, in my opinion. Where he struggles is putting it together. His sloppy boxing has gotten better, and the peek-a-boo boxing works well for him, he just needs to mix that in with his tremendous judo. He should be able to get on top and win a grinding decision. The question is whether or not Alcantara is legit, and we don't really know. He is also nearly impossible to finish and maybe he will finally find his stride in the UFC, coming off a win can mean a lot.

Omigawa proves that he's still a pretty good featherweight. Not as good as we thought a couple years ago, but still pretty good and enough to grind out the win here.

I know there was discussion about whether or Not Omigawa tapped during the fight. This is the angle people saw, don't know if it was posted already.
This replay was only shown once during the fight but Omigawa clearly gives a single tap.

Nice find. Seeing it live, I thought for sure he tapped. Then all the replays in between rounds convinced me otherwise.
I don't remember ever seeing that angle above, though.

I don't know if that was a tap. I saw that the first time when he locked it up, I think he was just trying to defend it. It only got tighter, I don't see why he would have tapped then and not 5 seconds later. Gritty performance by Omigawa despite getting outclassed in the first two rounds.
