@Mikey1903

My boy Dubois is still the best, he will still beat Joshua, Fury, Wilder and EVERYONE and become the GOAT!!!!!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go cry in the corner.

Being serious though, I'd like to see Joyce fight either Otto Wallin or Andy Ruiz Jr. next.

Good job Liam.

To be fair Dubois wasn't a hype job. But Joyce was an Olympic Silver medalist, should have been gold, and had fought the better competition. Plus he has a block head! I just figured that Dubois wouldn't get rid of him early and Joyce would take over with solid jab and better pace

To be fair to you, that's pretty much what happened tonight!

I'd probably have picked Dubois. This is REAL bad for his career. He just lost a whole lot of shine.

Yup, Dubois can come back. But it's gonna be tough, no matter how bad that eye was. You know what people are like, he's gonna be labelled a quitter and he will have questions himself.
I hope he can get back on track. Maybe lose a little muscle and build up his cardio. Or, knowing boxing, he'll smash a bunch of fat guys then get beaten in another big fight?! It's boxing baby!!!

@Mikey1903

That's one thing I hate about boxing is that if a boxer quits because they know they can't continue, then they usually end up being called a coward or a quitter which is stupid because in this case, if Dubois had carried on with his eye like that then he could've got ****** up bad! It's a dangerous sport so if you're injured and you know you're going to lose then why not save yourself from further injury? Don't get me wrong, it's admirable when a boxer carries on through a bad injury but in this case, it would've been very unwise for Dubois to continue.

You don't seem to get this too much in MMA though. If a fighter taps then they very rarely get badly mocked unless they tapped way too easily. I wish boxing fans had the same attitude.

Just watched full fight finally that eye was nasty and DDD was smart to take count.
Joyce was landing and oneyed defense is not very effective.
All that said I had Dubois winning at least half the rounds like they say gotta be a winner and it might as well be Joe.
Great fight and great lesson for both they need to work a lot top guys will ko both of them and DDD was close to a DQ.
