Ben's wins against Clay Guida, Jim Miller and Mark Bocek were amazing... Going with Henderson in this one.

ben's wins were impressive but frankie edgar is a different beast than those guys were. frankie is not going to engage in a grappling contest with henderson like bocek, miller, and guida all did.

to me, frankie has the better standup, the better, more technical combos, and the ability to keep the fight standing with his wrestling. cardio should be a non factor, but frankie might even start to take the advantage in that in the later rounds. i see frankie winning a decision where he keeps the fight standing, and outscores ben with his boxing.

^ you may be right... just read a quote from Henderson:

"I think it'll be two very good wrestlers going in there and, because we are two very good wrestlers, it will end up being a stand up fight for the majority of the fight. If that's the case, I'm ready to do that for 25 minutes and say, 'Let's have a kickboxing match for 25 minutes.' I'm okay with that."

Smooth is going to be in bad position during 4 and 5 due to a so hard weigh cut i think..

Thats one thing I'm worried about too...He said he was bulking up for this fight too that means he's gonna be even bigger who knows how the cut is gonna go in a different country

Henderson, in my opinion, is too big for LW, and bad cut reduce capacity, 20% mybe or more..

Overeem loses lot of fights cos of bad weigh cut, not all and its not an excuse..

But how many pounds Smooth have to cut for LW.??

Edgar too elusive too fast. Henderson is strong and people forget about his guillotine. Frankie's boxing will be in and out and sharp and he will not be held by Ben. Frankie is always getting better. Frankie gets some respect in this fight.

Frankie Edgar wins via split-decision, they rematch in Q3 2012. 

Like every other Edgar title defense.

I have to agree that the fight will probably be mostly standup since I don't think Bendo can ground Frankie or Frankie take Bendo down.  Bendo's standup is improving but I think Frankie takes the decision.   If Bendo is going in read big maybe he plans on trying get Frankie against the cage.  Should be a good fight though.

It's yet another fight where I give Edgar's opponent the advantages. He's bigger, stronger, a better athlete and feel like he can strike and stifle the champ. But for some reason "The Answer" always proves me wrong so we'll see. Bendo via close unanimous decision.

Really interesting article talking about Ben's uncanny ability to get out of some nasty submission attempts. Some really good breakdowns on how Ben gets out, although there are a couple of the submissions that the author admits he's not 100% sure how Ben got out of.

@zarog To be fair, the 9% who think it'll be by KO/TKO are just as silly. Edgar can win by decision, but he can't KO Ben. Ben survived an interception flying knee from Pettis. I'm not sure it's even possible to hit someone harder than an interception flying knee. Edgar won't be hitting Ben harder than that.
