Ray Longo seems to think so... or is he bitter?

Hard to say. I think it may be more the style of matchup plus the level of opponent. With Tyron, I think it could’ve maybe been a different fight if Darren had been more agressive and let the strikes go more but I think he was being wary of Woodley’s right hand and rightfully so. Was doing a good job of avoiding it until he didn’t. We all know Woodley’s good but what are the two things you want to avoid with him? Right hand and take down. With Masvidal I think it was a case of a fighter willing to meet Till in the center of the cage and throw down. Till is not a specialist in wrestling or BJJ, he likes to strike, so does Jorge. Maybe not too soon IMO, with Jorge I think it was more of an experience thing and Jorge having zero fear of Till’s size or what he’s been able to do with other opponents. If Till could’ve avoided getting hit so clean with that right hand in the Woodley fight that one may have ended differently. When Woodley gets pressured by someone he feels is a legitimate threat to him(Rory, Kamaru) , that’s his game to back up to the cage and wait for the right hand to land.

I think they pushed too fast. He barely beat Thompson.  Most would argue he didn't beat Thompson.
He gets ko'd easily cause of too much weight cutting and he doesn't have the experience of a Woodley or a masvidal. Hope he takes time off to regroup and either go up to middle weight or lose some weight naturally so he doesn't have to do such extreme weight cuts.

What they need to do is force his huge ass up to MW. I actually don't understand why he's resisting this so much. He'd be top 5 in that division and has a much better chance of beating aging and shopworn guys like Weidman and chinny mcchins like Rockhold than he has of beating the best WW's. He's never going to beat the wrestling-centric elites at WW. Covington, Woodley, Usman, Askren...forget about it. He'll get dumped on his ass and beaten to death or subbed  by all of them. Lawler would probably do it to him ( or just flat out KO him) and maia. If Jorge Masvidal can take you down...yeah.

till is one dimensional and masvidal exposed that. he needs to go back to the gym and learn some decent defense and add some tools to his tool box.

I agree he should prob move up and stop killing himself to make weight. I don’t agree about him getting KO’d too easy. Woodley didn’t KO him, he dropped him as he would most men if they got caught that clean with his right. Masvidal hit him with a well placed left followed by some other **** plus the impact of his dome hitting the canvas. You say he would get ****** up by WW wrestlers, Romero though lol. The single reason Till prob hasn’t moved to MW lol. Kind of just kidding but I’m sure he has his reasons, Romero being one of them. Overall though the style matchups he would get at MW may be better for him.
