For some reason after seeing the last fights of these 2 icons of MMA, it makes me think, why not have a "final conflict" between the 2? The first fight was a classic and my #1 fight of all-time. So I would like to know, what do you think if Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic vs. Fedor Emelianenko in a rematch, where that would be the final fight for both of them?

I think Fedor would knock Mirko the hell out.
He hit Big Foot and Hendo with shots that would have put Mirko down.

I have to agree with @AnAlias, Fedor would put Mirko out cold at this point in their careers. I would rather have a CroCop/Big Nog rematch

If you're asking how that fight would pan out. I believe Mirko would get destroyed. I think he's too tentative with his striking and he's not aggressive, very passive. Once he tries to come forward he pays for it. He needs to be like he use to and confident. He use to confidently side strafe to set up his head kick. Now he carelessly fights and I think it has to due with his loss to Gonzaga. It must have rattled his cerebrum. He's a shadow of his former self.
I believe Fedor has enough to put away Cro Cop.
I'd still like to see this match but it would get a lot of criticism. So I don't think it'll ever happen, but if I were to choose it'd be Fedor even though Mirko is my favorite fighter.

Not to mention Mirko is a lot slower than he use to be of course. Fedor would be faster on the feet.

They'd have to think of a new name instead of Final Conflict though, since the last time they fought it was at Final Conflict.

I honestly think that it would be a good fight, not as good as the first, but still... Mirko has been different since his Gonzaga fight, and Fedor has been different cause of his losing streak. I hate the fact that they have been going down like this. But I think if they fight against another again they will show some glimpses of their PRIDE days. Since they have a lot of respect for each other. But if this fight was going to happen, I want this to be in Japan.

I think Fedor would destroy Cro Cop at this point. Maybe if Cro Cop looks good against Nelson, but I'd much rather see him fight Nogueira now.

I agree with @minotauro. Fedor has at least looked competitive in his recent outings

@ben.. How has Cro Cop not looked competitive .. He was beating Schaub and was a close enough fight against Mir up until the end. More impressive then being finished in the first twice and the second once.

@Thiago, Fedor dropped both Henderson and Werdum. He didn't look great against Bigfoot but he still landed some bombs. Cro Cop did look pretty good against Schuab but the problem is he can't take a hit too well anymore, and when he gets knocked out, he gets SCARY knocked out. Fedor still throws heavy.
By the way I'm a much bigger Cro Cop fan than I am a Fedor fan, I'm not hating, I just think Cro Cop is further removed from his prime at this point.

I just don't think he has it anymore. Maybe the same is true for Fedor, but i think Fedor is more dangerous than Crocop at this time

@minotauro.. I don't believe he dropped Werdum.. I think he was trying to fool Fedor in to having a bit of fun in his guard and Hendo was more off balance.. I think Fedor would probably win this fight too but that's not to say it wouldn't be competitive.. Mirko has looked very competitive its just like you say he can't take a punch.. But Fedor's aura of invincibility is gone too so I think Cro Cop would have a chance.
