Why should losing against a MW gain you a LHW title fight? Really only if he wins should he fight for the title or a contender fight at LHW next.

He should move up to LHW regardless of outcome but fighting Cormier should only come if he beats Whitaker.

I get that he wouldn't have earned a fight with Cormier, but there's nothing doing at LHW anyway, Daniel has cleaned out the division, so why the **** not?
